4 Ways to Run Faster in COD Mobile (Multiplayer Mode)

Running faster in COD Mobile helps to improve your gaming experience. As it helps to reach the enemy location faster. You can use a Skulker / Lightweight perk to speed up your movements, and a small joystick for instant sprinting. In this article, I am telling you How to run faster in COD Mobile on Multiplayer matches, and its advantages.

How To Run Faster in COD Mobile on Multiplayer:

1. Small Joystick:

Joystick size plays an important role in faster reaction in COD Mobile.

If its size is bigger, then you need to cover more distance with a thumb, which can make your movement slow.

On the other hand, if you use a small Joystick size, you can Sprint or Left and Right movement faster, because your thumb needs to cover less distance on swiping.

To change the Joystick size, follow these steps:

1. Open Game Lobby Screen.

2. Tap the Settings gear icon.

3. Tap the “CUSTOM LAYOUT” button in Advanced or Simple mode which you’re using.

4. Press the Joystick.

5. Adjust the Scale value to 85%.

6. Tap “SAVE AND USE”.

Now, your movement ability will increase, as your thumb doesn’t need to cover long distances to reach 100% Sprinting and Left / Right Speed.

Make sure that your settings should be:

1. Go to COD Mobile Settings.

2. Tap “BASIC” from the sidebar.

3. Select OFF in “FIXED VIRTUAL JOYSTICK DISPLAY POSITION”.

4. Scroll down the Page.

5. Under “MOVABLE JOYSTICK”, Choose DEFAULT.

This will help you to use the Joystick for movements by clicking on any empty area of the screen. You are using a small-sized Joystick, which can be difficult to use if it’s locked on the screen. That’s why this option allows you to use it by clicking on any empty area of the In-game.

2. Use Lightweight / Skulker Perk:

Skulker perk is used to increase the speed up to 12% when walking and crouching. On the other hand, the Lightweight perk is used to increase your movement speed up to 5% and reduce fall jump damage. Skulker and Lightweight perks lie in the Red perk category, so you can only choose one of them according to your needs in COD Mobile. These perks will help you to move faster in multiplayer matches on COD Mobile.

You can equip a Lightweight / Skulker Perk from your Loadout:

1. Open the Lobby Screen.

2. Tap "LOADOUT".

3. Choose the Loadout number in which you want to equip the Lightweight perk to run faster In-game.

4. Tap the Red perk category.

5. Select “SKULKER” / "LIGHTWEIGHT" according to your needs.

6. Tap "Equip".

Now, your movement speed will be increased up to 12% with the Loadout which you have equipped with a Skulker perk. If you’re using a Lightweight perk, then your speed will be increased up to 5% and it also reduces your fall damage.

3. Swap your Weapon to Light equipment (Knife, Grenade, Trophy System) while Running:

Your speed becomes slow with the Heavy Weapon. For example: DL Q33 is a heavy sniper weapon, so your running speed becomes slow in the game. While, QQ9 is a Lightweight SMG, so your running speed becomes faster with this gun.

This is because Heavy weapons are harder to carry while Light weapons are easier to carry, that's why your running speed changes accordingly in COD Mobile.

The Knife and Grenades are the Lightest Equipment in cod mobile, which is easy to carry. So, you can swap your weapon to the lightest equipment while running or when the enemy isn't nearer to you. This helps to move faster in cod mobile.

You can equip Trophy System, Trip Mine, Grenade, Knife, or Pistol in your Loadout, and use them while running.

4. Sprinting at 100%:

While running, you should sprint at 100% to run faster. When you feel that you’re running at full speed in CODM, it means you’re 100% Sprinting. You can also lock the Sprinting by swiping up the Joystick.

When you start swiping up the joystick, it starts from low speed and goes to full speed. That means your speed is faster at 100% sprint.

There is a Setting “ALWAYS SPRINT” which allows you to control when the Sprinting starts after Swiping up the Joystick. By enabling the ALWAYS SPRINT setting, the movements will happen at 100% when you swipe up the joystick.

To enable this setting, you can follow these steps:

1. Open the Game Lobby screen.

2. Tap the Settings gear icon.

3. Tap “BASIC” from the sidebar.

4. Scroll down to the “ALWAYS SPRINT” setting.

5. Choose “ON”.

Optional: There is a Sensitivity which allows you to control how long you want to start sprinting when you swipe up the Joystick. But, to see the effect of this Sensitivity, you need to “OFF” the ALWAYS SPRINT Option.

Advantages of Running Faster in COD Mobile:

There are many advantages of Running Faster in COD Mobile. We will explain them in different game modes:

1. Search & Destroy: In Search and Destroy, if the Bomb is Planted and you need to diffuse it,  but the time is running out. Then running faster in COD Mobile can help to reach the Bomb planted location more faster.
   In another case, you need to Plant the Bomb, but the time is running out. Then running faster will help you to reach this location.

2. Hardpoint: Sometimes, You need to capture the hardpoint location first rather than the enemy. To increase this speed, the lightweight perk and using the lightest equipment for running will help to reach the hardpoint location faster.

3. Domination: In domination, if the enemies are capturing the A, B, or C, you need to reach here faster to kill them and save the domination points (A, B, or C). To run faster to reach here, you can use the Lightweight perk. You can also swap your weapon to the lightest equipment like Grenade or Trip mine to run faster.

How to Increase Reload Speed in COD Mobile:

You can also increase your gun Reloading speed in COD Mobile. But for this, you need to use a Fast Reload mag with the gun attachments:

1. Open the Game Lobby screen.

2. Tap “LOADOUT”.

3. Navigate the Gun whose Reloading speed you want to increase.

4. Tap “GUNSMITH”.

5. Tap “Ammunition”.

6. Select “Fast Reload” mag or Similar to this.

7. Tap “EQUIP”.

Note: Fast Reload mag is not available in some guns.

If the “Fast Reload” Mag is Locked, you need to Upgrade the weapon attachments. Simply, Tap “UPGRADE” from the top right corner. Use the XP Card to Upgrade the weapon, at least to the Level in which “Fast Reload” Mag is available. If you don’t want to upgrade the specific weapon via XP Cards, then you can unlock the attachments (Upgrade Weapon Levels) by playing matches with that gun.

Conclusion:

Movement speeds play an important role in COD Mobile gameplay and reaction time. If you run faster, then you can reach the enemy’s location faster. If you run slow, then your gaming experience becomes dull.

Skulker perk can increase your walking and crouching speed up to 12%. Lightweight perk can improve the speed by up to 5% and reduce fall damage. So you can equip anyone perk in your Loadout from the Red perk category. 

You should decrease the Joystick size because it helps to enable sprinting when you swipe up the Joystick In-game. Swapping your weapon to the Lightweight equipment such as Knife, Melee, Grenade, and Trophy System can also increase your movement speed in COD Mobile.
