Since the release of the Star Citizen 3.23 update, there has been a lot of fuss around ships, load-outs, and Master Modes. Here in this guide, we will be discussing one of the best Master Modes Combat Ships, the F7A Military Hornet.
Anvil Hornet is one of the most popular ships in Star Citizen. It is a medium fighter ship that can be used in the frontline to take down enemy ships. While it is an all-around balanced ship, it does have a disadvantage.
The range of the F7A Hornet is not much, so you will have to get a bit close to enemies to take them down. Thus, it is considered a frontline instead of the ship that remains in the back.
The F7A Hornet comes with Size 4 Weapons under wings (2X), and then Size 3 Guns on the nose and top (4x). Finally, you will find Size 4 Missile Racks as well.
Most refer to the new version as the F7A Hornet MKII, while the predecessor was called MKI. Some similar ships to the F7A Hornet include
325A
F7C Hornet MKI
F7C-S Hornet Ghost MKI
F7C-R Hornet Tracker MKI

The Best Loadout for F7A Hornet consists of Size 3 Tachyon Cannons. These weapons are from the Banu Defender. You can put two Banu Defenders on the ship and each can have four Size 3 Tachyon Cannon.
This makes a total of 8 Size 3 Tachyon Cannons, but we are not going to go overboard here. We will use six Size 3 Tachyon Cannon in our F7A Hornet Loadout.
As everyone knows, the bigger the weapon, the more it requires from you, turning it into a power-hungary weapon. The Size 3 Tachyon Cannons are extremely power-hungry. So, make sure your power plant can handle these cannons.
When you fire, the weapons are going to produce around 6.7k Alpha Damage. But, the DPS here is quite low, as well as the Firing Rate for the build. Charge for two seconds straight and then you can fire these power-hungry weapons at the enemy ships.
When these hit, they really hit, and it is a potential end for the enemy ship. You can shift between modes as well, like Stagger Mode, Combined Mode, and so on.
Load all together and then use the Six Rounds/Six Bullets on the enemy in the Stagger Mode. But, if you want to keep shooting, then the Combined Mode does its work best.
For each of the Tachyon Cannon, the Alpha Damage is 1,125
2.5 second Charge Time
Fire Rate of 90 rounds per minute
Projectile Speed is 3000 meters per second
The range is 1.5 kilometers
3 Ammo
The origins of Banu weapons are unknown to this age in Star Citizen. The Size 3 Tachyon Cannons are single, powerful, decent-range cannons that have exceptional damage.
You can either charge it, or single-fire it, but the full extent of its power is when you charge it for around 2.5 seconds. When charged, it unleashes a powerful attack on the ship with a speed of around 3000 m/s, which is hard to miss.
Other stats of Tachyon Cannon are as follows:
675 Physical, 1125 Energy, and 20 Distortion Damage
Draws 700 power per second
44800 Heat output per second
170 cooling rate per second
300 degrees centigrade Cooling Temperature
From 0 to 700 degrees centigrade
Misfire Temperature of 370 to 600 degrees centigrade
Overheat temperature is 650 degrees centigrade
Health of 1024
Distortion Health of 500k with 500k Distortion Delay per second
442.20 Length, 66.99 Width, 120.28 Height, 115 kg Mass (cm)
The Best Loadout for F7A Hornet in Star Citizen 3.23 includes the Size 3 Tachyon Cannons. You can put two Banu Defenders, and each one can have 4 of these Size 3 Tachyon Cannons. So, this makes a total of 8 Tachyon Cannons that you can put on your F7A Hornet. Our recommendation is to stick with 6 of these to complete the best loadout for the F7A Hornet. While the loadout is exceptionally powerful, taking down enemy ships in one charge, it does take 2.5 seconds to recharge, takes a ton of power from the ship, and also has a quite short range. With that being said, happy gaming!
