Blade & Soul NEO is a Korean online role-playing game developed by NCSoft. The game contains various classes and lines of weapons for one to choose from - some better than others. Originally the game consisted of two legendary weapon lines - Baleful weapons and Seraph weapons. This was changed when the Raven weapon line was introduced in 2017 as part of the ‘Wings of Raven’ update. Weapons are most useful for PvE battles and can be obtained through in-game quests, weapon merchants, and, at level 16 and higher, be purchased in the market. You will be required to spend Divine Gems to get these weapons, so make sure you have enough stock of the same.

A weapon of a particular tier can be one of three types. The first one is a raid weapon which is part of the larger raid path. This path is generally considered stronger than the PvE path and is considered the best in the slot. The remaining two weapons in a particular tier are the PvE weapons, which are generally less preferable to raid weapons, although just as enjoyable to use.
Legendary weapons have superior stats and are generally considered much harder to obtain; these provide the player with game boosts and unique abilities. There are different legendary weapon lines. These include:
The Baleful weapon line was one of the two original legendary weapon lines in the game. It can be obtained by upgrading a True Ivorymoon weapon with a Dark Stone. It has twelve stages, and from the tenth stage onwards, the Baleful weapon can be upgraded to the Raven weapon line or the Dawnforged weapon line. The Baleful line is more suited to players who prefer offensive manoeuvres.
It shares the same basic stars as the Seraph weapon line, although it differs from the latter in the skills that it affects. Baleful weapons are favourable for the classes.
True Ivorymoon stage 10: The Baleful weapon can be obtained by using Flower of Lament on stage 10 of the True Ivorymoon weapon. The Flower of Lament can be made using five petals of Lament and can also be obtained from Sougun’s Lament.
Stage 4-6: To upgrade the Baleful weapon from stage 4 to stage 6, a Taikhan’s skin is used, which the player can acquire from shattered masts.
Stage 7-10: To upgrade a baleful weapon from stage 7 through stage 10, a forging orb is used. The orb can be obtained from the Naryu foundry.
Stage 11-12: A Xanos disc is used for upgrading a Baleful weapon from stages 11 to 12. The Xanos disc is available in the Naryu Sanctum.
Seraph is the second of the two original legendary weapon lines introduced to the game. It was introduced alongside Baleful during the Silverfrost Mountain expansion. It is generally used in early- to middle-game PvE and is renowned for its healing cooldown reduction and utility powers. Like Baleful, it has 12 stages of progression. From stage 10 onwards a Seraph weapon can, like other weapons, evolve into Riftwalk or Dawnforged weapons.
It shares the same basic stats as the Baleful weapon line, although it differs from the latter in the skills that it affects. Seraph weapons are favoured by the Warlock class. Though other classes prefer the Baleful weapons for their abilities, the player can nevertheless follow the Seraph weapon line.
A Seraph weapon can be obtained from a True Ivorymoon stage (similar to Baleful) ten weapons by upgrading it with a light stone, golden Deva Hearts and dungeon drops. The ingredients can be obtained by:
Raven weapons are a weapon line introduced in the ‘Wings of Raven’ update. It is considered to be the second strongest weapon line in the game after Aransu. Unlike the Baleful and Seraph lines, the Raven weapon line has nine stages of upgrading.
Raven weapons can be obtained by upgrading a level 12 weapon of the Baleful or Seraph lines. This can be done using:
Most of the above items are dropped from the Skyblock Spire 24-man raid. Raven weapons are considered unsuitable for PvP by most players. The weapons for each class are:
Aransu weapons are famed as the strongest weapon line in the game. Similar to the Raven weapon line, they have nine stages of upgrading. It is the evolved form of the Raven stage nine.
It can be obtained from evolving a Raven stage nine weapon. To do this, the player requires:
Although the True Ivorymoon weapon is not considered a legendary weapon, it is the pathway to most of them, as Baleful and Seraph weapon lines originate from its evolutions.
An Ivorymoon weapon can be obtained if a player reaches the Silverforest area. Alternatively, an Ivorymoon weapon can also be obtained by upgrading the beginner Hongmoon weapon.
Getting the best weapon in the land of Blade & Soul NEO requires not only skill and tactics but a vast amount of patience along with grit and determination. The various materials required may seem difficult at first but the awesome rewards make the challenges worth attempting.
