Black Ops 6 Fans Excited As Treyarch Confirms Ranked Play Cheaters Has Been Resolved

Only hours after Black Ops 6 launched the Ranked Play mode, it saw a widespread backlash from frustrated players across several social media platforms like X and Reddit, mainly due to the issue of cheaters appearing frequently in matches. Among those voicing out their frustrations were some well-known content creators like @OctaneSam, @DKarma, @Nadeshot, and several others who were dissatisfied with the rampant cheating in Black Ops 6 Ranked Play. But now, Treyarch has released a new update for the Ranked Play that solves a majority of the issues with the cheaters leading to a fair and fun experience for Black Ops 6 players.

Unexpected Data Outage Reportedly Caused the Issue With Black Ops 6 Ranked Play Cheaters

Being faced with a protest from frustrated players, Treyarch was in a tight spot. They had only two options. One was to ignore the protest from Black Ops 6 players and risk having Black Ops 6 lose all its glory and the majority of its fanbase. The other option was to fix the issue and get the hype of the Black Ops 6 back on track, with more players being satisfied with the game.

The latter was the obvious choice as no developer would ever like the former to be the case. With that said, Treyarch recently dropped a new update in response to the backlash from Black Ops 6 players who were frustrated with the cheaters in the Ranked Play mode. Alongside the update, Treyarch dropped a tweet on X containing details of the update and a heartfelt appreciation to all players who were patient enough to endure the Ranked Play cheaters up till now:

From the X tweet it could be said that it was due to the unexpected data outage that AI systems got their efficacy lowered, and as such, couldn't identify or eliminate cheaters from the game. With that being fixed, it would make a huge difference to the amount of Ranked Play cheater cases. Treyarch also made references to aggressively targeting suspicious accounts, this probably means almost all the cheaters would be punished, if not all. Treyarch also emphasized the acceleration of “Replay Investigations to review suspicious players.” This would ensure that players who are using legitimate means wouldn't be unjustly punished

Treyarch doesn't end the Tweet here, the tweet goes on to say, “We appreciate your patience as we battle against these attacks that disrupt a fair and fun experience.

Black Ops 6 devs were clearly putting themselves in the players' shoes by this statement. They probably felt the frustration of Black Ops 6 players and deemed it natural based on what they had to go through. Treyarch has shown Black Ops 6 players that it really has an understanding of its player base.

Black Ops 6 Ranked Play Becomes A Cheater-Free Battle Experience

Since the issue of Ranked Play cheaters has been somewhat resolved, players have come to know and understand the true fun that comes from playing Ranked Play. Increasing numbers of Black Ops 6 players have become fond of the mode and now many are racking up their rankings to progress further in the leaderboard.

The excitement doesn't stop there alone, players on Reddit have also expressed their excitement about the update, and their annoyance with the frustration, with one player saying,

“Hopefully they all get their accounts banned. They go buy another Black Ops 6 or Game Pass sub and make another account. They have to get 50 wins in Multiplayers first in order to be able to play Ranked. Rinse and repeat each and every time they get banned. Having to spend money on cheats and spend money on games or subs again. Who the f*ck are these people that want to go through all this sh*t? Seems like so much hassles to me. I feel like I would be too much of a lazy person to even be a cheater in Call of Duty lol.

Another Reddit user replies by saying,

“Sounds like an easy morning. You don't understand how badly the cheaters want to win. They can't win naturally or think everyone else is cheating when they are not. It's too easy to make a new account and hacks unlock everything in the game so there is no waiting or grinding.”

This makes a lot of sense since cheaters cheat because they want to win so badly. But in the end, it's quite the investment since they would have to purchase cheats, buy a new Xbox game pass subscription if banned, get 50 wins in multiplayer, and rinse & repeat the whole process.
