Samurai is no doubt the best and the most popular build in the whole game, just because of how perfectly it fits in the early, mid, and late games. Due to its versatility, you can play with it and mix different things. In order to make the Best Late Game Samurai Build, you will have to first learn it at level 50, then get to level 100 and finally finish the late game build at level 150. Don’t worry, here in this guide, we will be sharing with you all the details from the early game, to the mid and then late game.
Initially, the Samurai build wasn’t that hyped around because of the developers not focusing enough on the build, but rather only on the class. After the release of Elden Ring 1.08 and 1.09, this build again got a lot of boosts, making it the undisputed king of versatility.
We all know that Samurai build is always around a specific weapon, whether it is the Uchigatana, the Moonveil Katana, or something other than that. Yes, you have to patch a ranged weapon in here as well, but that is the secondary focus and your main one is always the Katana.
There are three individual Builds here and to make the best Late Game Build, you will be needing Elden Ring Runes and Items. Here at MMOPixel.com, you can buy them cheaply.
There are a few things that you will have to understand primarily before going out and making the Samurai Builds. These things are;
There isn’t something necessarily essential here. You can always change things around in the build to make things much better for your scenario and playstyle. We will be guiding you here on a general path, but you can change things around.
After the Site of Grace, you should focus on going to the North and getting to the Church of Elleh here. Then your destination is the Gatefront Ruins, which should be unlocked.
The reason is that you will get the torrent and then you can go back to the Church of Elleh using fast travel and speak to the witch Ronnie. You will get the spirit of ash early on in the game this way.
Then you should get to the southern coastline and get the Gold Pickled Fowl Foot. It will enhance the rune gains to around 30 percent while you have it. The time after consuming is 3 minutes.
There are some tasks that you should be focusing on next that will enhance your potential in the early game much more than usual.
Go to the Church of Marika, the third one, and get to the Site of Grace on the way unlocked. Get the Kenneth Haights Questline unlocked as well and teleport to the Bastial Sanctum Site of Grace for the first task.
You will receive a special item at the end of all of this, as well as a talisman for the Samurai Build, specifically for the early game scenario. It will reduce the damage done by enemies to 10 percent.
Now it’s time to go south and get the Site of Grace more deeply unlocked, not fighting anyone along the path and you will reach Fort Faroth. Here you will get a 70k Rune Boost and in case you used the Gold Pickled Fowl Foot, it will be enhanced to 90k Rune Boost, which is quite a spectacular gain in the early game.
Go to Elder Dragon Greyoll and relieve him of his existence. If you have more of the Pickled Fowl Foot, use them at the end when you are going to kill the Dragon. The path you are choosing will change the way you are going to use things here.
Finally, you should be pitting the points mostly in the area of Vigor and Damage. Now it’s time to talk about the Early, Mid, and Best Late Game Samurai Build in Elden Ring.
The first thing that you should go out for is the magic samurai here in Elden Ring, coming in with a melee attack at close range and magic at medium range.

Uchigatana - You should be going with the Uchigatana here for the Early Game at Level 50 Samurai Build. In the latest update, the Uchigatana has the Frost build, which you need to learn the mastery. Furthermore, you should be adding the Ashes of War on top of the Uchigatana to make it exceptionally strong for the early games.
Moonveil Katana - After Uchigatana, you should be looking after the Moonveil Katana, that will serve as your trusty fellow throughout the whole game.
Horn Bow - It is a magical bow that you can get your hands on fairly early on in the game. In case you are not into sorceries, you can just get this bow and create a spectacular magical combo
Sword Dange - The Ash of War you will be using is the Sword Dance. You should stick to a single one, but rather extend to other Ashes of War as well or your Katana. Get through the Stormveil Castle and get these Ashes of War from there.
Hoarfrost Stomp - Get the Hoarfrost Stomp from the North of there because you can’t put magic or frost build on your Samurai as of now.
Clayman’s Harpoon - The next thing you should be focusing on is Clayman’s Harpoon. It is a strong Skill related to the Ice Spear which you will be needing to get rid of the stronger Black Knights. Use the Frost Stomp to keep yourself safe while staying on the left side and get your reward. It is the natural weapon of choice when we are talking about the Ashes of War.
Cross Naginata - At the near end of the Level 50 trip, you might get Cross Naginata. Have it in your inventory with the Moonveil Katana in case you will ever need it as a substitute with natural bleed builds and an amazing moveset.

Moonveil - Just like the Early Game Samurai Build, you should be sticking with the Moonveil Katana now and getting rid of the Uchigatana. Have either the Uchigatana or the Nagakiba by your side here, but don’t keep both of them. The Sword Dance Ash of War is going to be used by either of those. Keep the affinity to Frost for the Ash of War and as an alternative have the Hoarfrost Stomp.
Horn Bow - There is nothing better than the Horn Bow at this spot, so you should keep it as it is. It’s cheap, has incredible range and you can take the health of bigger enemies easily while killing the smaller ones with your strikes.
Ice Spear - While you are at a safe distance, you can use the Ice Spear to kill enemies, as well as bosses. You can also go with the Moonveil with the Transient Moonlight Special Skill in case you don’t want to go with the Ice Spear as a ranged option.
Nagakiba - As an alternative to the Secondary Weapon here, you should be going with the Nagakiba. We already mentioned in our Elden Ring Best Late Game Samurai Build Guide that it can be either the Uchigatana or the Nagakiba. It’s your own choice but in our recommendation, the Nagakiba is much better

Well, things are quite simple here in contrast to the Mid Level Build. In order to make the Best Late Game Samurai Build, you will have to go with the following gear;
Ronin’s Set - You just have to get the Ronin’s Set in the late game. Get it at Level 150 and then upgrade it with some heavier pieces, ultimately reaching 51 points. In Elden Ring 1.09, there is nothing you should change in the Samurai Build at 150 Level.
Shard of Alexander
Dragoncreast Greatshield
The second one we are going to mention here in our guide is the Holy and Fire Damage Samurai Build. Definitely a treat for those looking to make the Best Samurai Build in Elden Ring to end the game.
In this build, especially the late game, you can just switch to Fire Damage and become totally shifted to the damaging side. It can be great for the PvE scenario where you can just run through bosses.
You can also shift to the Hole Damage Resistant mode where you can save yourself from enemy damage. Your main focus will be on faith there and that will create a lot of space for the Mind attribute.
Previously, your focus was shifted to Intelligence, but now it’s more toward the Mind area. All in one, it is quite a versatile and situation-dependent build for Samurai Lovers. You can adapt easily early on and then make your way effortlessly through the Late Game.

Sacred Blade - At level 50, you can get the Sacred Blade with the Ash of War which is also the Mid Level option here for the Samurai Build. It will also enhance the melee damage for the Uchigatana, making it much stronger. Faith here is going to be the damaging aspect here. There is no need to go the extra mile here with Dexterity. Stormveil Castle is going to be the main location for all of that here, so you should focus on it primarily in the first place. For the Starter Bow, get your hands on the Flame Errors. If you don’t get it early on, there are no worries here.
Black Flame and Godslayer Seal - In the area of the Stormveil Castle, you should get the Black Flame incantation and the Godslayer Seal as well. That’s why we mentioned Stormveil Castle to be the main early-game location here. Incantation here isn’t quite necessary, but rather a plus that you can get. Our recommendation would be to get it because the Faith Aspect is going to get the most out of this Incantation making you quite exceptionally stronger.
Sacred Scorpion Charm - The Holy Damage will be taking favor from the Sacred Scorpion Charm in the early game. Without it, there will be no benefit for the Holy Damage with the Samurai Build in the early game.

20 Dexterity

Nagakiba - At level 100, you need to shift from Uchigatana to Nagakiba, just like before. In order to make the Best Late Game Samurai Build in Elden Ring, you need that extra reach on the Nagakiba.
Cross Naginata - You need a different style weapon with you always alongside the Nagakuiba here. In that case, the best one is the Cross Naginata because of its Bleed Build up and its moveset.
Phantom Slash, Sword Dance, Flaming Strike, and Sacred Blade - All of the mentioned names are for the Ash of War here, which is an exceptionally powerful choice. You can switch between all of those to make things quite effortless in all scenarios. Keep in mind that previously you only had Sword Dance, but others with extra elemental damage on top.

Erdtree Bow - Something new, but quite essential for the Late Game Samurai Build in Elden Ring. In case you are looking for something to attack enemies on the range, you need to put the Erdtree Bow in here somewhere.
Blessing’s Boon and Golden Vow - Both of these are incantations that you can use. The Blessing is great for healing and extra buffs when you activate it.
Flame Grant Me Strength - Here it is! The Legendary Ash of War that you will be needing for the late Game Build for the Samurai Build. It is required when you are going for Fire Damage. The Faith Build is either with the Holy or the Damage side, making it versatile. Either go with one type of damage or go with the multiple through various Ashes of War. It all depends on what you are looking for. It could be healing or it could be damage to a specific element.
Ronin’s Set - Previously in our Elden Ring Best Late Game Samurai Build there was no need to worry about armor. After going for the late game at level 150, you need to get the Ronin’s Set and then upgrade it to 51 poise with the Grieves and Gauntlets of heavyweight.
Black Blade - It isn’t a set, but rather an incantation that is quite exceptionally strong against bosses in the game. You can also go with the Blade of Calling or another incantation known as the Black Knife in order to bring down enemies from a distance.
The Final Elden Ring Samurai Build we are going to mention here is none other than the Elden Ring Bleed Build through Samurai Style. You will be fully going for Bleed and Arcane here with some of the best weapons in the game.
On top of all the cool stuff, you will be putting the Dragon Incantations for specific scenarios in the game. But, keep in mind that the whole thing revolves around Bleed Build, meaning you will be squishy around the Bleed Resistant enemies here.
In order to tackle that, you will be putting some strange equipment here as a backup. Still, Bleed is quite OP in the game, especially in the new Elden Ring update. Keep in mind that you can change things around according to your play style and situation, buffing some things up and exchanging others with something new.
25 Vigor
24 Dexterity
19 Arcane
16 Mind and Endurance
12 Strength
9 Intelligence
8 Faith
Bloody Slash - In the very beginning of the Elden Ring Bleed Build, you will be going for Kenneth Haight’s Questline. It will lead you to the top of the castle where you will find a knight and it will get you the most powerful skill known as Bloody Slash. An extension to that is getting the Blood Gease here as well, which goes exceptionally well with the Bloody Slash. Put the Bloody Slash on the Uchigatana, then invest points on the slots of Dexterity, as well as Arcane. The Starter Bow will remain the same here, but make sure you have the Flame Arrows to pump things up.
Dragon Communion Seal - Get the seal from the Fringe Folk Hero’s Grave. Yes, we know that the fight here is quite hard, but after a few runs, you will get used to it in no time at all. This seal is essential, so don’t forget to get it early on.
Rotten Breath - An extra on top of all the previous Gear from other Samurai Builds is Rotten Breath. It is a spell in the game belonging to the Dragon Breath Category. It is the best thing for the Bleed Build especially when fighting powerful enemies or bosses. You need to put more points in the area of Faith because of this specific spell.

30 Arcane

Eleonra’s Pole Blade - For the Mid Game Samurai Build, you won't be going with the typical one-hand blades, but rather dual-hand twin blades known as Eleonra’s Poleblade. It is one of the most powerful bleed weapons in the game that can build up bleeds pretty quickly because of fast attack speed and damage.
Uchigatana - After getting the Black Whet Blade, you should go with two Uchigatana built here. It can aid in bleed build and in case you want to go with the Frost here, it is also exceptionally well.
Cross Naginata - Set the Bleed Affinity for the Phantom Slash or the Bloody Slash. It will help you a lot in the Mid-game Samurai Build in Elden Ring.
60 Dexterity
48 Vigor
41 Arcane
24 Mind
22 Endurance
15 Faith
12 Strength

Ronin’s Set - Yet again, you will be needing the Ronin Set here in the End Game at Level 150.
River of Blood - Another essential thing here is the River of Blood. It might not be the best one, but one of the Best Bleed Weapons in the game as of now in Elden Ring 1.09 Update.
Swarm of Flies - An exceptionally powerful incantation in the game is Swarm of Flies that you can utilize to take down multiple enemies at once.
Dragon Communion and Regalia of Eochaid - Both of these are made for the scenario when you can’t actually use Bleed Effect on the enemies. For the Elden Ring Bleed Build, you will be going full-on with Bleed and there are some enemies that are resistant to that.
Ritual Sword
Lord of Blood Exultation
Shard of Alexander
Rotten Winged Sword Insignia
Dragoncrest Greatsword
Well, that’s all we could come up with in our Elden Ring Best Late Game Samurai Build Guide. In order to get to the Late Game, you will have to pass through the Early, as well as the Mid Game.
Here in our Elden Ring Best Samurai Build Guide, we mentioned three types of Samurai Builds, the first one focuses on Magic, the second one focuses on fire and holy, and the final one focuses on Bleed. In our recommendation go with the Elden Ring Bleed Build here because it is the most OP one in the Late Game of Elden Ring.
As always it isn’t written on stone. You can always change things around because we are only providing a path for you to walk on. After a good understanding of what you are going to do, just change a few things around and make sure it matches your focus and playstyle or what you want out of the Samurai Class. When need be, just Buy Cheap Elden Ring Runes from MMOPixel. It will save you a lot of time and headaches. Hope this helps you.
