Stonethorn, The Elder Scrolls Online’s upcoming DLC dungeon pack, continues and builds upon the Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline with two challenging new dungeons: Stone Garden and Castle Thorn.
Stone Garden is an abandoned Dwemer facility with some dangerous secrets. In Elder Scrolls Online’s new DLC, players will have to find their way into Arkasis’s laboratory, and stop his mad science experiments. The secret laboratory in Stone Garden houses many difficult challenges, which includes 3 boss battles each of which will have their own hard mode. This is the first time that Hard Mode can be activated on a per-boss basis.
Plenty of rewards await the adventurers that take on this perilous task. Unique rewards will be available which include gear sets, a monster mask, collectibles, and Achievements. These rewards are only available in this dungeon.
“These dungeons explore different aspects of the Greymoor Chapter,” explains Mike Finnigan, ZeniMax Online Studio’s Encounter Lead. “Castle Thorn features a foreboding keep where a Vampire Lord secretly builds a dark army, while Stone Garden is set within the laboratory of a mad alchemist, dedicated to perfecting his monstrous creations.”
The new monster mask, called Stone Husk, can be combined with its corresponding shoulders for a Heavy Attack effect that creates a damaging tether that will also boost Weapon Damage.
Both of these dungeons tie into the year-long adventure, building upon the stories you might have already experienced in the earlier Greymoor Chapter or Harrowstorm DLC.
Thanks to two exciting new dungeons and a major addition to the Homestead system, Stonethorn bring challenging new adventures for you to experience in The Elder Scrolls Online.
Stonethorn arrives on September 1 for PlayStation 4 — see you in Tamriel!
