The latest batch of Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.41 screenshots showcase a new emote, outfit, and new mount players can acquire. The upcoming patch will also include an update to the Ishgard Restoration storyline and reconstruction efforts. The update, which will come soon, will finally bring the final phase of the Ishgardian Restoration, letting players finally put the finishing touches on what appears to be the prototype for Ishgard's housing wards.
The perspective of new housing isn't the only reward, and this is exactly what the screenshots are about, including a new casual outfit, a crab mount, and a sweeping emote. Players can expect the update patch to arrive on January 12, 2021.
As mentioned before, players will once again be tasked with the rebuilding and reconstruction of Ishgard in Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.41.
With the residences of the New Nest providing homes for countless Ishgardians and the markets of Featherfall ever flourishing, the Firmament is evolving day by day into the living, breathing heart of the post-war Holy See. So it is that Lord Francel de Haillenarte turns his eyes to the fourth phase of the restoration effort, which will see the construction of a cultural district where nobleman and commoner, man and dragon alike might further enrich their lives through aesthetic pursuits."
This new attire features a more sporty look, with a fashionable satchel strapped to the player character's chest. The new emote will have players cleaning up the shop with a broom, which looks similar to the previously released paintbrush emote. And the new mount that will be added to the game with the FFXIV Patch 5.41 is taken directly from the beaches of Costa del Sol.
Recently, a new line of cosmetics was released through FFXIV's Mog Station. Players can now obtain the Collegiate Attire through the cash shop. These outfits are not gender-locked, so players can mix and matches pieces as they choose.
We already know that Square Enix will host a big online event in February when the new FFXIV expansion will likely be revealed.
FFXIV is currently available for PlayStation 4 and PC and Square Enix recently announced that it has passed 20 million players.
