It was speculated that getting stronger in Elden Ring required fighting the bosses and looting them, as it provided you with tons of Elden Ring Runes, and also high-level Elden Ring Items onwards. But, it was all wrong, as you can get +25 Level Weapons to one-shot bosses without actually fighting them beforehand. How to do it? To get the highest level weapons in the Elden Ring without fighting bosses, you will require Smithing Stones 1 to 8 (presumably 12 of each) and afterward find the Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone. All of these are used to upgrade the weapon to its highest level possible in the Elden Ring, boosting its damage and stats. Getting Ride in Elden Ring
First and foremost, you need to start the game and play till you get the Spectral Steed Whistle, which enables you to get the ride in the Elden Ring.
Farming Smithing Stone 1
Afterward, ride it to the Limgrave Tunnel area to collect the Smithing Stones as you go. In the Limgrave area, there are a total of 9x Smithing Stones 1, and you can pick all of them from the tunnel.
Don’t worry if you can’t find all the Smithing Stones here in this location, as you can get Smithing Stones from the merchants later on.
Use the Memory of Grace to return to the Site of Grace. Also, you can get the Smithing Stone 1 from Stormveil, on the corpses towards your south side, collecting all 9 of the Smithing Stone 1s you need. Now, you can leave Limgrave, but there are a few things you require in the area.
Getting Bloody Slash and Dectus Medallion (Left)
Travel to the Fort Haight area, where you can kill the knight to get the Bloody Slash. It is an Ash of War that you can use to quickly kill enemies.
From the same area, climb the ladder and get the Dectus Medallion (Left) on top of the tower of the castle. Why, you might ask? Well, to get the Maximum Level +25 Weapons in Elden Ring 2024 without fighting bosses, you need to unlock Altus Plateau, which opens by using both the Left and Right of the Dectus Medallion.
Getting Dectus Medallion (Right)
Ride towards the northeast where you find the third Church and in the pond, you will find a way gate that teleports you to the Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow - Caelid.
Start going south till you reach Fort Faroth, where you will find the Dectus Medallion (Right).
Getting Smithing Stone 8 and 7
Before leaving the Fort, make sure you climb the Large Rock Formation near the Slumbering Dragon, where you get the Smithing Stone 8, and 2x Smithing Stone 7.
Getting Flame of the Redmanes
Ride to the west side of Caelid, where you can get the Flame of the Redmanes, another Ash of War, and one of the strongest in the game so far.
Getting Greatsword
For the Elden Ring Level 25+ Weapon Guide, we will be using a Greatsword because it is expensive to level up in contrast to other such weapons in the game.
Farming Smithing Stone 2
After you have the Greatsword, you can use the hidden path to go towards the east side of Stornvile Castle. This way you can completely skip the whole area as of now.
On the left of the Boilprawn Gazebo, you can get Smithing Stone 2. There are 3 of these here, which you can get.
From there, go to the Academy Gate Town, where you can again find 3x Smithing Stones 2 near the Giant Crab.
Head west from there towards the Temple Quarters, and near the statue, in the Gazebo, by the flowers you will find 3x Smithing Stones 2.
Head southwest from there, and you will find another 3x Smithing Stones 2 near the Rose Gazebo. It is on the west of the Rose Church.

Opening Altus Plateau, and Getting Smithing Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing 2
Use the Dectus in the image above, where you can unlock the Altus Plateau, which gives you access to the Sealed Tunnel, and the Smithing Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing 2.
Getting Smithing Stones 2 and 4
Go to the Roundtable, and give this Bell Bearing to the Maiden Husk, and you will have unlimited buying access to the Smithing Stones 2 and 4.
Getting Smithing Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing 2 and Smithing Stone 5 and 6
From there, you can rush to the Capital Outskirts, and go to the Auriza’s Side Tomb. Make sure you have the Bloody Slash Equipped. Use the Zip Glitch here to the Mountaintops of the Giants - Forbidden Lands.
If you don’t have any idea about the Zip Glitch, it lets you travel forward, bypassing everything in between it. You can check the video guide as well if you are having trouble.
It is essential to use this Zip Glitch to get a +25 Weapon in Elden Ring 2024, getting stronger without fighting any boss and leveling up your weapons to their full potential early on.
After you reach the location, you have to use the Bloody Slash to kill yourself. This will trigger a quick travel to the Stake of Marika, where you respawn.
You are now properly in the Forbidden Lands, and from there, head to the Grand Lift of Rold. When you enter the location, you have to do a Warp, by traveling to Round Table and quitting out of the application.
Now, you will have complete access to the Mountain Tops of the Giants.
Make sure you are making your way to the Zamor Ruins, where you can get the smithing Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing 3.
Using the Smithing Stone Bell Bearing 3 as instructed before, will enable you to Buy Smithing Stone 5 and 6 an unlimited amount of times.
Farming Smithing Stone 7
Now, go to the statue on the west side of the Frozen Lake and bait the Giant into breaking the statue, which in return gives you 3x Smithing Stone 7.
Now, run across the Frozen Lake to the first Church, and go to the cliff above to get the 3x Smithing Stones 7.
Go to the Guardian Garrison to get the last Smithing Stone 7 that you need. It is found on the upper level inside the castle.
Purchasing Smithing Stones and Leveling Greatsword
As mentioned earlier, after you give the Bell Bearing as an offering to the Twin Maiden Husk, you can get the Smithing Stone 2 to 6 an unlimited number of times. You need 50,500 Runes for the Stones that you have to purchase.
You can follow our Elden Ring Rune Farming Guide, or purchase Elden Ring Runes from MMOPixel, which gives you an edge. So, combined, you have 12 of each Smithing Stone from 1 to 6.
You also have a handful of Smithing Stone 7, which you have to save for now. Use the Smithing Stones 1 to 6 to Level up your Greatsword at any Blacksmith. This will probably bump the Level of your Greatsword to +18 in Elden Ring 2024, without even fighting a single boss.
Getting Smithing Stone 7, 8, and Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone
For the journey ahead, you have to put Flame of the Redmanes Ash of War, which makes fighting quite effortless.
Near the map fragment, you will find a corpse that has Smithing Stone 8.
From there, travel northwest, and you can use a sleeping rune bear to break the statue, which gives you 3x Smithing Stone 7, and also 1 Smithing Stone 8.
From there go south where you also find a massive tree, near the gate, and you can get the Smithing Stone 8. It is found on a corpse that is resting on a tree.
Go further south from there and enter the Tunnel marker on the map, which is the Telough Tunnel that gives you 8x Smithing Stone 8. This is where fighting comes into consideration, as you have to fight multiple enemies and explore the Tunnel to get the Smithing Stone 8.
Enemies here are weak against fire, and using the Ash of War, you can bypass them quickly without wasting any of your precious time.
On the lower level of the Yelough Tunnel, you will also find a corpse that has an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone, which is the highest level Smithing Stone used to level weapons in the Elden Ring.
Upgrading Weapon to Level +25 in Elden Ring
Now that you have 12 Smithing Stones 7, and 8, alongside an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone, you can go to the Blacksmith, and level up your precious weapon to Level +25 without fighting a single boss.
