Last Epoch Guide to Minion Builds: Necromancer and Primalist

Necromancer and Primalist are two of the most popular classes among players in the Last Epoch. These classes offer a variety of passives, skills, attributes, equipment, and unique physical appearances to the character models. In this article, we will review the minion build guides for two of them and discuss each element in detail.

Guide to Build Minion: Necromancer Class

Although many different builds are available in Last Epoch, the minion builds are worth trying. The primal beasts that the primalist summons or the undead minions that necromancers obtained are the ones who take over on the battlefield. Furthermore, the minion builds are essentially character builds that improve the gameplay by enabling you to call forth and give orders to your minions to engage in combat on your behalf.

The guide's goal is to assist you in building a strong army with excellent combinations, starting with the Necromancer. The minion army has low defensive layers, which is a disadvantage. However, the necromancer class has strong features like Auto-Summoning Zombies, excellent AoE, great stacking potential with shred armour and poison, and even single-target damage.

However, going forward, there are many different builds for necromancers based on their minions, such as golems that require buffs, skeletons, wraiths that require more mana, etc. Therefore, the following three main components of the guide will assist you in selecting the appropriate minions for your army:

  • Skills

  • Passives

  • Gears

Skills

For the Wraith Minions

For wraith minions, buffing is important. For that, you need to Dread Shade, rely on Drain Life, use the Volatile Zombie, and then transplant.

  • When calling forth wraiths, concentrate on improving the reapers, convent of souls, necrotic hunger, and wraith bringer. This will reduce the amount of mana needed and summon more wraiths, ultimately dealing more damage.

  • To replenish mana: use the Spectral Presence and Wisdom of Dead.

  • To recover mana: work on upgrading the Thoughsteal, Hecatomb, Grasp of the Damned, and the Necrotic Feast.

  • For Better destruction and less expenditure: Completely elevate to the position of forceful commander, even upgrading the Ravenous and Grave Pull. Additionally, improving Fervor and Path of Destruction provides an advantage for more effective destruction.

  • Go for Necromantic fervor when the explosion happens to regain the HP.

For skeletal mage

Applying each of the skeletal skills will improve the Necromancer. The following are the skeletal mage's skills: increasing casting, critical strike chance, movement speed, and attacking speed:

  • Unholy Rage and Marrow Walkers

  • Mightier than the Sword and Lone Guardian

Moreover, while you are mastering the skeletal mage skills, do not forget to use the other skills such as:

  • Argonautic Speed

  • Splintered Dominion

  • Putrid Essence

For Bone Golem

  • For enemy defense, use the Tower of Bones, which is made up of an Amalgam of Sentinels, along with the Bone Hail, Betrayal, and Flight of Femurs. bolster the defensive and offensive nodes as well.

Passives

Both skill and mastery passives are available in the last epoch. And the most common passive when interacting with Wraiths is the acolyte passive. To effectively use the Stolen Vitality, all you have to do is fully upgrade it to increase minions' HP and extended lifespan. Upgrades to the Dark rituals are also required.

By upgrading Cling to Life, minions can be saved and gear a longer lifespan. Empty the Graves gives them an additional advantage. As for effective Necromancer passives, upgrade Cursed Blood, Frantichelmet, Aegisfall, Heresy, River of Bones, Rite of Undeath, and Risen Army to protect your minions from damage. Upgrade the Apocrypha in the Lich Passives as well for rapid mana regeneration.

Gears

A good necromancer build requires special gear. The equipment listed below can be used in combat to bolster a minion army.

  • Helmets: A vital piece of equipment for the Wraithlord harbor is a helmet. You can either visit the Merchant Guilds Bazar to obtain this one or complete the Black Sun Timeline to earn it as a reward.

  • Weapons: Reach of the Grave, Aberrant Call, and Prophecy Staff/Horned Staff are the three main weapons that are required to deal Minion damage.

  • Fleshbound Tome: If you choose to use the Reach of the Grave weapon, you will need a catalyst. The following are the stats of this catalyst: mana, resistances, minion health, and resistances.

  • Relics: Choose between the Minion Nectoric Damage and Minion Heat, Speed, and Damage by using the Decaying Homunculus or Runied Bones.

  • Idols: Because idols are hard to control, always look for ones with resistance, wards, and minion necrotic damage.

  • Boots: Try combining the boots and the Exs, sanguineous to create a sizable ward pool. The boots have a big impact on movement speed, bonus damage is taken reduction, minion teleportation, etc.

In addition to these gears, some special gears for abilities like low defensive combo, reduction in the bonus damage taken into account from critical strikes, etc., are amulets, rings, bodies, armor, and belts. Getting these gears will require you to spend gold, the in-game currency of Last Epoch. So make sure you have enough stock of the same. If you are falling short of the gold, get it for real money from reputed and trusted seller MMOPixel.

Guide to Build Minion: Primalist Class

The Primalist of the Last Epoch is about calling the beato battle on your behalf. Shaman, Druid, and Beastmaster are the three classes available for mastery; each has special abilities and gears, though they may share some passives.

Skills

Among the general skills are Summon Thorn Totem, Summon Sabertooth, and Sumon Frenzy Totem.

  • Summon Thorn Totem: Gets unlocked on reaching Primalist level 4, where it can summon. It costs 18 manas and can cause cold damage, lightning damage, poison damage, void damage, physical damage, and even fire damage. To enhance its abilities use the modifiers, that will help you elevate the duration, number, and effectiveness of the summon.

  • Summon Sabertooth: Becomes available after obtaining a primalist passive level of 10. It serves the skill type to summon and costs 6,0 mana. It has abilities for throwing, melee, minion, spell, and physical damage in addition to the ability to deal fire, void, and poison damage. Improve the health and damage over time to increase effectiveness and ensure a long lifespan.

  • Summon Frenzy Totem: a skill that offers attack and cast speed with a boost of 20%. For this skill, opt for modifiers that increase its duration, number, and even effectiveness.

For example, if you select the Shaman mastery class, you can anticipate easy resistance capping, some hike in the armor, and self-healing. Remember that this build has a slower movement speed and a slower DPS. By selecting this mastery course, you will acquire the following skills: Eterra's blessing, Storm totem, Spriggan farm, and Fury leap.

Last Epoch Primalist Minion Builds

Passives

Savage Bond, Beastmaster, and Primal Strength are the Primalist's passives. However, if you decide to go with a Squirrel Beastmaster build, for example, focus on the following:

  • Make an effort to improve the Primalist passives, including Hunter's Restoration, Primal Strength, and Survival of the Pack.

  • Work on fortifying the Beastmaster passives, as Ursine Strength will be beneficial. In addition, among the options are Axe and Claw, The Chase, and Force of Nature.

Also, taking into account the Shaman Build,

  • Using Natural Attunement, Hunter's Restoration, Gift of the Wilderness, and Berserker should be the primary focus for primalist passives.

  • The Beastmaster passives that promote durability are Ursine Strength, Call of the Pack, and Boar Heart.

  • Choose the Chitinous Plating, Wind in the Leaves, and Thicket of Thorns among the Druid Passives to strengthen your thorn attacks and sprigs.

Conclusion

The main focus of this guide was the minion builds for Necromancer and Primalist. We can now clearly see that the Primalist build is centred on the Primal beasts and the totems, whereas the Necromancer is based on the minion army. Choose a dynamic playstyle where your skills can be used for the best and most efficient gameplay. As a result, it is advised that you use the guide as a guide and creatively develop your playstyle by experimenting more.
