Lost Ark Artillerist Conclusions
Is Artillerist Good in Lost Ark?
Do Artillerist Deal Great Damage?
Artillerist is a DPS class, an advanced gunner class. As such, artillerist uses the biggest guns to deal a big AOE damage potential.
Lost Ark artillerist is an oddball in the roster of Lost Ark classes. He has a potential for massive DPS with all his barrage skills, but his movement is gimped, being slower than others, and has a roll with less range. And he has all of two support skills if you choose the right perks.
How does he compensate for it? With insane AoE, damage output, and ridiculous durability for a DPS of this caliber.
Artillerists carry light weapons and wield mechanical launchers, explosives, and heavy armor, making them one destructive force to cross paths with.
First, let’s straight up to the weak points of this class:
Artillerist class has a low mobility compared to other classes because he has to carry huge-size weapons.
Due to its increasing firepower enhancement, Artillerists must stay in their place when they’re shooting. This could be a great weak point.
This class causes a lot of screen clutter.
Artillerist do not possess party buffs.
It can be a bit tricky to handle.
Now, let’s talk about the strong points of this gunner advanced class.
First of all, this class deals a lot of damage. Not for nothing, Artillerists are called ‘Nuke Guys.’
Also, this class has one of the highest armor stats in Lost Ark, behind the Gunlancer.
In PvP, Artillerist class has incredible burst damage.
Artillerists have a unique firepower buff, which gives you a passive bonus of 10%, 20%, or 30%, depending on the level of this buff.
Stats aren’t fundamental in early game dungeons, but they are in the most difficult ones of the later game. You have to focus mainly on two stats:
Swiftness. Increase in physical combat performance. Reflects Attack, Speed, Movement Speed, and decrease in Skill Cooldown.
Critical. The overall probability of performing a critical hit.
These stats will help you clear dungeons faster. More complex stat distribution will be fundamental for later dungeons and raids.
As an artillerist, you want to get agility as your main stat and critical as your secondary.
Engravings are buffs and debuffs that alter your stats. You can find them in Ability Stones and accessories. These stones and accessories generate random values, either positive or negative effects.
There are four main engravings you must consider, at least in the early stages of the game.
|
Lv1. Reduces incoming damage -20%. Increases Crit Rate +(15%, 20%, 25%) depending on the level of the Firepower Buff. Lv2. Reduces incoming damage -20%. Increases Crit Rate +(22%, 27%, 32%) depending on the level of the Firepower Buff. Lv3. Reduces incoming damage -20%. Increases Crit Rate +(30%, 35%, 40%) depending on the level of the Firepower Buff. |
Note. Firepower Enhancement provides flat damage reduction and boosts the critical rate. It’s the go-to class engraving for Artillerist.
|
Lv1. Damage +4% to Boss or above monsters. Incoming damage +20%. Lv2. Damage +10% to Boss or above monsters. Incoming damage +20%. Lv3. Damage +20% to Boss or above monsters, and decreases damage taken by the same amount. |
Note. These skills offer you more damage. However, thanks to your damage reduction buff from your Firepower Enhancement class engravings and your 8-second long shield, that is not so much of a hassle.
|
Lv1. Atk. Power +3%. Healing -25%, natural recovery excluded. Lv2. Atk. Power +8%. Healing -25%, natural recovery excluded. Lv3. Atk. Power +16%. Healing -25%, natural recovery excluded. |
|
Lv1. +10% Crit Damage but your attacks have a chance to deal Damage -20%. Lv2. +25% Crit Damage but your attacks have a chance to deal Damage -20%. Lv3. +50% Crit Damage but your attacks have a chance to deal Damage -20%. |
Note. Cursed Doll Attack power is increased by 16%, but all incoming healing is reduced by 25%.
After you’ve got those four, you can opt for these three:
Adrenaline. After using skills (excluding Movement Skills and Basic Attacks), Atk. Power +0.3% for 6s. Stacks up to 6 times. When max stacks are reached, Crit Rate +5%. If cooldown reduction due to skill cancel is applied to this effect, it is applied after the end of the skill.
Barricade. Increases damage to foes while shielding by 16% at level 3.
Hit Master. Damage of attacks other than Back Attack and Frontal Attack +16%.

As you may know if you’ve already played Lost Ark, each class has its own identity skill. These skills are powerful buffs or transformations that add great skill points to your character.
The identity skill system revolved around the energy gauge you can see below, in the middle of the screen.
You charge the gauge by using skills on enemies.
This is the name of the Identity skill of the artillerist. The meter is divided into three stages. Once you fill the meter, you can activate the Barrage Mode, which immobilizes you but grants an incredibly destructive force.
When you deal damage to enemies, this meter is filling up. Depending on the charged level, you’ll get a passive bonus of 10%, 20%, or 30%.
Artillerist is a perfect ranged class for beginners, dealing damage to multiple enemies from distance and staying safe while getting bonus damage.
Artillerists may not be the most mobile fighters, but they make up for their lack of agility with huge mechanical launchers and other hard-hitting weapons, super armors, and incredible destructive force.
We encourage you to choose this great class that gains a lot of damage bonuses, either single target damage or group damage.
Join your party members and clean dungeons and get the most fun with this class, one of the best gunner classes of Lost Ark.
We hope we’ve clarified all the doubts you had about this mid-range long-range class.
