Like in any MMO, mounts are an important part of the traveling system. Thanks to them and the mount skills, you can travel fast throughout the map and complete quests that require going from one point to another. Besides, they will help you go from any major cities to the fields and return safely.

In general, mounts are animals you can collect and use wherever you want. Of course, there are different types of mounts, and many of them. Not all mounts have the same speed. Unlucky, most of the fastest mounts aren't free. Some of them have a variety of skills like enhanced speed.

The first mounts come early into the game. You can get them shortly after the prologue. Once you arrive in the first major city, Prideholme, start the main story quest called Tower Where Light Lingers. Upon completing it, speak to Brother Alfael to receive your first mount.

They are not shared across different servers and regions on the same account. The fact that mounts are shared across the roster means that you can use any mount unlocked on your main character on any alt-character on the same server and vice versa.

You can get some mounts just by completing side quests or fulfilling some specific requirements in a certain map zone. You can also acquire other mounts by purchasing special offers that, from time to time, the game puts at your disposal.

Anyway, the fastest and highest-quality mounts aren’t free. Due to their rarity, you can buy them in the Auction House, the in-game store. To get them, you need to have Royal Crystals.

There is also a good chunk of mounts obtainable from events, including both login events, Twitch drops, and other in-game time-limited activities.

How to Use Mounts?

Luckily for you, using mounts in Lost Ark is an easy task. The first thing you must do is add a mount to your inventory.

Press Alt+V or go to the Guide.
Select “Mounts” in the bottom right menu to open the “mounts menu” window.
Right click on any mount on the list. Then click “Ride” to start riding it.

We recommend you assign your favorite mount to one of your quick slots, as you’ll be remounting a lot while playing.

To do this, just drag the mount from the list of all mounts into the quick bar you want to use and press the designated key. Right clicking will also allow you to assign mounts to F1.

To use some special skills, such as the mount's dodge, click the spacebar on the keyboard while mounted.
