The main thing about the Lost Ark Soulfist is good management of your hype! And that’s exactly how it is called: hype gauge. There are three stages, also known as three different hype modes. At the highest hype level, you will have boosts in the attack power, movement speed, and energy recharge for your Lost Ark Soulfist. Great control of your hype will help you take this martial arts class to the maximum level and deal great burst damage.
The Lost Ark Soulfist is a highly mobile class that switches between melee and ranged attacks. For many fans, it's already becoming the Dragon Ball Z class. It has explosively powerful combos that cause huge damage to enemies and a lot of references and similarities. All the Lost Ark Soulfist engravings, tripods, and class characteristics are intended to help them deal damage.
The Soulfist is one of the best Lost Ark classes for those who like to be on the frontlines.
So, your hype mode is your gauge, and it is all about energy. Different from other classes, the Soulfist uses special energy called adamance. That`s why an energy release enhancement or an energy recovery is among the best skills and abilities for the class.
As any class in Lost Ark, the Soulfist also has class engravings. These are techniques you learn after passing level 27, and they will help you get stronger and make your character even more unique.
The recommended engravings are Energy Overflow and Robust Spirit. As they are really important, let's take a look at Lost Ark Soulfist Engravings.
This engraving grants different bonuses depending o the level it is.
Level 1: Your energy never goes under 1 but any additional energy recovery effect won’t be applied during hype mode. You will also deal 5% extra damage to enemies when your energy goes down 30%
Level 2: When your energy reaches below 30%, you gain an extra 10% damage.
Level 3: When your energy gets below 30%, you gain extra 15% damage on enemies.
This engraving is not that used, mostly because of the Robust Spirit engraving, which is far more reliable than Energy Overflow. Besides having more consistency, Robust Spirit, when used together with world decimation, grants a big attack power increase. This buff is preferable for the late-game Soulfist class.
Level 1: When using hype, you will pass the three separate stages and reach level 3 immediately. Robust Spirit also makes you recover energy 200% faster. To complete, you gain 15% more damage.
Level 2: When in hype mode, your overall outgoing damage increases by 25%.
Level 3: Once again, in hype mode, your damage increases by 35%
This engraving makes players go to a burst damage build. The idea when using this skill is to bet on cooldown reduction and hype mode refresh as much as possible, making a combo with your awakening skill set. Generally, most players prefer this engraving.
Other engravings can be used and have a good synergy with Soulfist. They are:
Awakening |
Reduces the skill cooldown by 50% when reaching level 3. For the Soulfist, awaiting only 50% of the necessary time to perform the main combo again, is huge. |
Grudge |
Increases your damage against a boss level or above monster by 20%. The incoming damage also increases. It means more damage. What else does the Soulfist class need? |
Spirit Absorption |
Attack and move speed is increased by 15%. Well… Run more, attack more. Go nuts and explode all your enemies! |
Cursed Doll |
Increase attack power but reduce incoming healing. Cursed doll may not be the most common engraving when you are close to the end game but, the greater the risk, the greater the reward. |
Besides those already listed, many others can be useful. They are Keen Blunt Weapon, Precise dagger, Blitz Commander, Steady State, and Backstabbing Master, for instance.
Besides the normal skills the Lost Ark Soulfist has after reaching level 50, they gain access to the awakening skills.
An Awakening Skill is the most powerful ability a character can use and can surely change the course of a battle. You should also note that an awakening skill cooldown is far bigger than the normal skills. For the Soulfist, the cooldown of such skills is 5 minutes. The Lost Ark Soulfist Awakening Skills are
After a time of gathering energy, you will shoot an energy ray forward. This annihilating ray can damage foes 5 times if you hold it for 1.5 seconds. As if it wasn’t enough, a friend's soul appears and gives you energy for an even stronger blast, which increases the outgoing damage. If you stop holding, this soul appears and will attack foes instantly. That’s going to be a lot of incoming damage to your foes.
This skill is highly influenced by your hype level. That way, if you want to take as much overall damage as possible, you should use your Awakening World Decimation when your hype meter reaches the maximum so that it will grant huge additional damage.
After a small-time gathering mystical energy, you raise your hands over the head and release an attack in the target area, inflicting big damage.
We’ve already talked about Lost Ark style, Engravings, and awakening set. It is time to take a proper look at the best Soulfist Builds for you to start well in the game. Generally, Soulfist players prefer fewer high-level skills than a bigger number but with a lower tripod level.
Remember, our intention is not to give a complete build for you to be stuck to. This Smilegate RPG is full of possibilities and rewards different playstyles and ideas. That`s why different skills and compositions will suit particular situations and different ways to play.
This gets even more clear when talking about an advanced class from the Martial Artist tree, such as Soulfist. There are many possibilities of skills, tripods, and engravings. For example, a Scintillating attack drops extra palms and gives more AoE damage.
