MapleStory Artale Guide to Dexless Sin

Artale, is one of the featured worlds in MapleStory Worlds, is a fantasy RPG filled with quests, engaging visuals, and timeless exploration. If you are a casual or seasoned adventurer, this guide will help you navigate through this featured world. A definitive guide to playing the DEXLESS SIN.

To fully grasp what a Dexless Assassin (Sin) is, let us first explore the other types of assassins in the game:

  • Normal Assassins: A standard Assassin typically starts with 25 DEX at level 10 and continues to allocate 1-2 points into DEX with each level. This allows them to equip standard gear sets.

  • Low-DEX Assassins: Low-DEX Assassins take an unconventional approach to their stat allocation. Instead of heavily investing in DEX, they rely on equipment that has been extensively scrolled to provide just enough DEX to wield higher-level weapons, such as the Scarab Claw. This claw is prized for its exceptional LUK boost and power. The majority of their stat points are directed toward LUK.

  • Dexless Assassins: Dexless Assassins, on the other hand, start with the required 25 DEX for their first job advancement and invest all subsequent stat points into LUK. While this limits their armor options, they are far from unequipped.

Make sure you have enough stock of mesos before you jump into your journey of the dexless sin. If you are falling short of the same, get it for real money from reputed and trusted source MMOPixel.

Why are Dexless Sins stronger?

The unique damage calculation for the Assassin’s primary skill, Lucky Seven, explains their strength. With maxed Critical Throw and Lucky Seven, the combined damage of both stars follows this formula: 0.25 × (Total LUK) × (Total Weapon Attack)

Each time you level up and gain 5 LUK, your damage increases by approximately 1.25 times your weapon attack. Since Dexless Assassins invest all their points into LUK, they can achieve up to 85 more LUK than a Low-DEX Assassin. This translates to an additional 21 times their weapon attack in damage potential. Although Low-DEX Assassins compensate with higher weapon attack through their gear, their damage only surpasses Dexless Assassins at much higher levels—around level 100. However, by that point, Dexless players often gain access to the Level 70 Maple Claw, which balances weapon attack and provides even greater LUK.

A Dexless Assassin is an intelligent choice for game-players seeking good-to-high damage and adventurous gameplay. While this build is gear-dependent, it rewards you with unmatched power and versatility. By focusing on LUK, using the right claws, and training efficiently, you will dominate in both mobbing and bossing.

MapleStory Artale Dexless Sin

First, let us clear 2 things.

  1. There is no HP washing mechanism, here on Artale.

  2. And there are no Dexus claws, no Maple claw, no Shinobi bracelets, no Night Raven claws either.

And this has propelled most players who have opted to play as sins to go for low dex or medium dex route. It is not uncommon to find sins in the Level 40 range with something atrocious like 80 base dex. It is also not uncommon to see them complaining about the class in the Artale discord server either.

So, the question arises:

HOW SHOULD YOU PLAY AN ASSASSIN HERE?

Well, the answer is YOU SHOULD NOT.

You can, if you really want to and if that is the case, the key to your troubles is MEBA.

Meba is level 25- CLAW, requiring a total dex of 50, with weapon attack ranging from average 16 to max 18. Out of all the claws available in the game, meba is the only one with an attack speed of fast THREE. Everything else is a fast four. The lower the number, the faster you will be attacking. This superior attack speed means that you will be causing more damage wearing 18-attack meba, than you will cause wearing a steel avg-22.

This is the first and the last UPGRADE you will be making for the foreseeable future you will be making to your weapon in the game. You do not want to go for a higher-level claw, as they lack the fast three attack speed, and require much more dex than the Meba.

And for obvious reasons, you do not want to settle before meba, because unfortunately the reality is- too many people want to make Sins, hence making scrolls for claw attack, SUPER EXPENSIVE.

SO, WHY MEBA?

You see, the best kept secret about meba is that this claw allows you to go DEXLESS, here on Artale. You will never have to complain in the Artale discord about how little damage your lucky seven is doing. Meba requires 50 dex. You will have 25 base dex from your job events. The overall you will be using is a sauna rope, which you can do the quest for or pick up in the auction house for 300K mesos as of this date. Assuming your source of funds are the former two, you will likely want to run scrolls for overall armour dex 100 percents on these, getting you to a total of 35 dex. Another 5 dex can come from scrolling your Raggedy cape or Icarus cape with 100% dexes. It is very easy and realistic to equip this claw.

MapleStory Artale DEX

If you can afford 60 percents, go for it, but currently, as the release is still new, they are very-very expensive.  At 40 dex, it is super easy to get the last 10 dex. Buy a Green Bamboo Hat which has three base dex and runs seven helmets for dex, 100 percents on it.

Congratulations, you are done. This entire process will cost you around 5 million mesos.

Now, this is where the fun really begins. There are oly three more upgrades that you need to make to your favourite character- only THREE.

  • The first one is very intuitive, get an attack work glove. Try to get a 10-attack one, and if you are really balling, get a 11-attack one. You will probably be farming glove for weapon attack 60 percents, once you hit around the level 40-range, you can put this off for later, its your choice.

  • The second one is Stars. On Artale, assassins do not need to recharge their stars, and only need one set in their inventory. As a result, star drop rates have been tuned all the way down which caused stars to be prohibitively expensive. Stars may range up to 20 million mesos a piece. Know your spending limits and play within it. Consider picking up some icicles, tops and sticking with them for a little while until the high prices come down or you find someone at the gas station willing to trade for your EBT food stamps for a bit of quick cash.

  • And here is the last: The one and only: the Holy Grail: Your Meba. You want to be farming for a 18-attack Meba while simultaneously trying to land a clean 10 percents on the first slot and 60 percents on the rest. Keep doing this, until you get a perfect 70 percents in Meba or decide to play another well-rounded class.

Conclusion

A Dexless Assassin is an optimal build for players seeking high damage and agility in MapleStory. By prioritizing LUK over DEX, these characters maximize their offensive capabilities, leverage unique damage formulas, and achieve better avoidance rates. Though gear-dependent, the Dexless path offers strong performance in mobbing and bossing for dedicated players.
