Getting your hands on the Glow Worm Quality Fish is hard in Palia. You will have to use a ton of Worms, and the probability of getting the Fish of that quality is quite low here. Don’t worry, we got you covered, because here in this guide, we are going to share with you details on Palia Secret Fishing Spot. Through this guide, you will be able to get Glow Worm Quality Fish without Worms. So, without any further ado, let’s just straight to the chase here.
Before we jump to the details, there is one thing that we need to sort out. With the steps we are going to mention here, you will always get the Mottled Gobi, but you don’t have to spend Glow Worms for that.
You can also do this with any fishing pole that you can find, whether it is a normal pole that you found in the starting game or an exquisite one that you specifically played Palia for.
You have to start from the Kalima Village. From there, you have to head southeast toward the Mayor’s Estate. Now, from there, you need to head inside and get to the backside.
There is a very beautiful area, where you will find a fancy waterfall in the center. There is a garden around it as well. But, just as you get out the back, you have to stop, not proceed towards the waterfall.
There are two pathways, left and right, take the left one. You will proceed towards a little pond. It is quite small, and nothing fancy about that.

Now, you got to the location, let’s cut to the chase here. You can’t fish in this pond, as the rod bounces back, and sometimes flies to the air. The error says you can’t fish here as well.
But, there is a way you can actually do that, which is the real neat trick here. There are two vases with flowers on them. They are behind you, but you have to stand in front of the right one (while you are looking at the pond).
Line the head of the character with the little tree base and move forward till your left foot is at the base of the gray stone. It will look something like the image below. Again, point your camera at the base of the tree.
When you are at this spot, you will have to Left Click on your mouse and let it go very quickly. Don’t hold it and don’t waste time finding something. Just click and let it go. Walk a bit on the front and back a bit as well to try out various spots.
The bobber will be in the pond and that is everything you need to be aiming for right now. This is the trick here and the other steps are quite easy to go through.
You don’t need any worm to do this, and the great part is that it can be done with any fishing pole as well. After 3 little bounces, you will have to reel this in. As a result, you will get the Mottled Gobi every single time in Palia.
Typically, Mottled Gobi is only available from Ponds when you are using Glow Worm as bait instead of the typical ones.
Disclaimer: You can also utilize this Secret Fishing Spot in Palia by standing on the stone/rock on the left side of the Tree while facing the Pond. There are other areas as well that you can explore, but these two seem to work consistently.
After you caught your first Mottled Gobi, you can do this again and again without having the need for a Glow Worm. You can get as many as you like, and stack them in your inventory.
After you have the inventory filled, you can just go to the shop and sell all your farmed Mottled Gobi for a ton of cash.
There has been a new Palia Secret Fishing Spot discovered. You can basically go to the Mayor’s Estate and from its back, take the left, reaching a small pond.
