PoE 2 Dawn of the Hunt Best Deadeye Build – Wind Serpent Fury and Lightning Spear Build Guide

Looking for the fastest clear, the hardest-hitting boss skill, and zoomy gameplay that makes every other build feel slow? You just found it. This Deadeye build featuring Wind Serpent's Fury and Lightning Spear might be the most cracked setup in the entire Dawn of the Hunt patch.

It combines absurd clear speed, near-instant boss deletes, and infinite Frenzy charge loops to deliver a build that shines in both mapping and endgame bosses. And no, this isn’t something Amazon can pull off. Deadeye or bust.

Before you head into the guide and start aligning the stars yourself, this build is demanding. So much so that you might need your inventory filled with expensive stuff. Don't worry, MMOPixel has your back here. You can Buy PoE 2 Currency cheaply without worrying about late deliveries or insecure payment options.

Why Deadeye for Wind Serpent Fury and Lightning Spear Build?

Deadeye for Wind Serpent Fury and Lightning Spear Build

Deadeye isn’t just a good choice for this build—it’s the only choice if you want to unlock Wind Serpent’s Fury’s full potential.

The synergy is so tight that trying to run this on Amazon or any other class will feel like you’re playing in slow motion. Here’s why:

  • Tailwind = 10% extra movement speed, always
This is not just a small buff. In a game where mobility equals survivability, that permanent 10% boost from Tailwind makes you feel like you’re gliding across the map. Pair that with Deadeye’s already high baseline movement and skills like Lightning Spear, and your clear speed skyrockets. It’s the secret sauce that keeps you ahead of projectiles, dodging danger, and zooming through content like a literal blur.

  • Deadeye’s unique “Skills that consume Frenzy Charges act as if they consume double” turns Wind Serpent’s Fury into a double-dipping monster
This is where the magic really happens. Normally, Wind Serpent’s Fury summons one serpent per Frenzy charge. But with Deadeye? Each charge is treated as two. That means more serpents, more shockwaves, more wall-slam damage, and basically double the burst on every cast. No other class has access to this mechanic. This one passive makes Serpent’s Fury scale like a nuke with built-in multitap.

  • 30% chance to max Frenzies when gaining one = near-infinite Fury spam
This node is game-breaking in the best way. Every time you gain a Frenzy charge, there’s a 30% chance it instantly refills all your Frenzies. So instead of waiting to stack seven again, you often just go back to full after one hit. This allows you to chain Serpent’s Fury casts back-to-back, keeping the damage pressure sky-high, especially in boss fights. It turns what should be a “build-up-and-nuke” cycle into a looping boss-blender.

Wind Serpent's Fury – The Boss Deleter

This skill is absolutely unhinged. It’s the highest-damage bossing skill in the game right now. Just like our PoE 2 Dawn of the Hunt Bleed Huntress Build.

  • 600% base damage on cast.

  • 200% attack damage per Serpent summoned (1 per Frenzy)

  • 472% more damage when enemies are knocked into a wall (which they almost always are).

  • With Deadeye’s double-dip? That’s basically 28x Serpent damage per cast.

Frontal Cry = Bonus Nuke

Use Frontal Cry before casting Fury:

  • Grants 20 Power, which converts to +140% damage as extra fire

  • Works on ALL Serpent's Fury damage

This is a crazy multiplier that takes your hit from deadly to absolutely busted.

The Combo:

  1. Stack Frenzies

  2. Press Frontal Cry

  3. Launch Wind Serpent’s Fury

  4. Boss vanishes

Repeat as needed. Usually, once or twice.

Lightning Spear – The Map Clearing King

Deadeye + Lightning Spear is a dream combo.

  • Consumes Frenzy charges = +100% more damage

  • Fork + Vault + Deliberation = Everything dies, everywhere

  • Splits to 6 targets (thanks Deadeye!)

It’s smooth, snappy, and makes mapping feel like flying.

Key Support Gems

Key Support Gems for Best Deadeye Build

Your gem setups are the backbone of this build—each one adds a layer of speed, burst, or control that turns Deadeye into a full-on serpent-slinging boss slayer.

Here’s the breakdown of how they all come together:

Wind Serpent’s Fury:

  • Primal Armament
Adds a solid base of flat physical damage, which scales incredibly well when converted into elemental via your setup. This gem gives Serpent’s Fury the raw punch it needs to hit absurd numbers, especially when paired with your crit scaling.

  • Overextend
This one’s risky but totally worth it—trades some stun resistance for a big boost to critical strike damage. Since you’re one-shotting or two-shotting bosses anyway, taking that gamble pays off fast. More crit = more one-taps.

  • Ambrosia
A new powerhouse in 0.2.0—this gem gives you up to 75% extra Lightning Damage, based on how many flask charges the skill consumes. Since Serpent’s Fury only counts as one use—even when it uses all 7 Frenzies—you can stack one mega flask and squeeze out huge damage every time. It’s a low-cost, high-reward gem that skyrockets your DPS.

  • Blindside
The secret weapon for bossing. If the enemy is blinded, Blindside gives you +15% crit chance and +15% crit multiplier. That’s a huge spike, especially on Serpent’s Fury. You’ll apply blind via Spear Stab (we’ll get to that), and once that’s active, this gem turns your burst into a crit-machine.

  • Concentrated Effect
Tightens the AoE, but who cares? This is single-target destruction. It increases all damage dealt, and since Serpent’s Fury isn’t being used to clear waves, it’s the perfect fit. Everything hits harder, faster, cleaner.

Lightning Spear:

  • Fork
Doubles your spear spread. Combined with Deadeye’s double projectile split, this gives you clean, efficient mob coverage in every direction.

  • Vault
Adds a teleport effect to Lightning Spear that gives it more flexibility and clear power, especially when jumping between packs.

  • Deliberation
Provides extra Frenzy charge uptime, improves skill usage, and synergizes with Deadeye’s toolkit for smoother, faster combat loops.

  • Long Shot
Boosts damage based on distance from the target. Perfect for Lightning Spear since you’ll often be striking from range during clears.

  • Perpetual Charge
Helps you maintain your Frenzy loop without breaking stride. Every Lightning Spear keeps the engine running.

Spear Stab (Blind Generator):

  • Martial Tempo
Increases attack speed, helping you build combo points fast and making blind application even more consistent.

  • Blind
Core utility here—applies blind on hit, which triggers Blindside’s bonus in your Serpent’s Fury setup. Simple, but essential.

  • Pinpoint Critical
Gives you critical strike chance and consistency for spear stab, making it a solid option for building charges and keeping pressure up on enemies.

Important Note: Even though Spear Stab isn’t your main damage dealer, it plays a key support role by applying blind to bosses. That one debuff enables a massive damage multiplier in your main skill setup. Never skip it.

Frenzy Generation

Two main methods:

  • Combat Frenzy + Profusion + Neuro Overload + Electrocute = Looping Frenzy gain while clearing

  • Sniper's Mark via Cast on Crit or self-cast = For bossing

Deadeye’s toolkit makes this loop nearly infinite. You’re never out of Frenzies.

Optional Skills

  • Ghost Dance + Fast Forward for defensive uptime

  • Barrage with Inhibitor/Murderous Intent (for extra clear, doesn't consume Frenzies)

  • Infernal Cry with Premeditation, Second Wind, and Raging Cry for another nuke option

Weapon: Tangletongue Spear

Weapon: Tangletongue Spear for PoE 2 Dawn of the Hunt Best Deadeye Build

If you’re not using Tangletongue, you’re playing this build on hard mode.

  • Up to 25% base crit chance – That’s insanely high, and exactly what Deadeye needs. Since Deadeye doesn’t naturally scale crit, this spear fixes the issue outright.

  • Massively increases burst consistency – Your Serpent’s Fury and Lightning Spear will crit far more often, meaning your damage doesn’t fluctuate—you just blow things up every time.

Unless you’re playing Amazon (who has better crit scaling innately), this spear outperforms rares hands-down.

Mandatory Unique: Beacon of Azis

This amulet is the reason your damage hits like a truck.

  • Ignores all elemental resistances – That includes bosses with 75% res like Zesh or Arbiter. Without it, your flat damage just gets shrugged off.

  • Lets you scale ANY flat damage – Lightning, Fire, Cold, Physical—it doesn’t matter. This freedom means your rings and gloves can roll any flat, and it all contributes to the nuke.

If you’re skipping this amulet, you’re missing out on up to 4x more damage. It’s not optional—it’s essential.

Gear Priority

Here’s how to make your gear sing:

  • Rings & Gloves – Load up on flat damage (any type). This is how you scale Serpent’s Fury the hardest.

  • Chest – Hybrid Energy Shield + Evasion is ideal for sustain + dodge. But a full Evasion chest is a good budget start.

  • Helmet – Go for a Subterfuge Mask base with high Energy Shield. Helps Ghost Dance + Blind interactions, and gives tankiness.

  • Boots – Prioritize 30%+ Movement Speed, capped res, and any missing stats like INT or DEX.

  • Belt – Rare with Life, Res, Strength, or go WRAP style for extra flex stats.

Talent Tree

Talent Tree for PoE 2 Dawn of the Hunt Best Deadeye Build

The core tree is your classic spear crit build, but with Frenzy charge synergy stacked on top.

  • Grab all the usual Crit, Evasion, and ES nodes.

  • Then go full Frenzy mode:

    • +1 at Fervor

    • +1 at Bloodthirst

    • +1 at Vigorous Precision

That’s +3 Frenzies on top of the default 4, giving you 7 total—aka 7 Serpents per Wind Serpent’s Fury cast.

And if you trigger the Deadeye double-consume passive? That’s 14 serpents. Yes, really.

Final Thoughts

This build is an endgame destroyer with zoom-zoom mapping and boss-melting power. It’s beginner-friendly, Hardcore-viable, and just plain fun.

If you're looking for a build that:

  • Clears like a beast

  • Deletes bosses in seconds

  • Feels fast and satisfying to play

Then Deadeye + Wind Serpent's Fury is your new main.
