Simulacrum farming in Path of Exile is one of the most intense and rewarding activities you can undertake in the game. It’s a high-risk, high-reward challenge where you’re pitted against waves of increasingly powerful enemies, all within the confines of a single instance.
With the recent 3.25 update, this already exhilarating experience has been made even more accessible. The number of waves has been reduced from 30 to 15, meaning you can now reach the most valuable and lucrative drops much faster than before.
To start a Simulacrum, you'll need to collect Simulacrum Splinters, which can be gathered from various daily encounters and regular maps. Once you’ve collected enough, you can use them to open a Simulacrum in your map device and dive into the action.
In this test, we invested in 30 Simulacrums, which cost approximately 7.5 Divines—each Divine providing you with four Simulacrums. While the monetary expense might seem manageable, the real investment here is time.
On average, completing each Simulacrum took around 20 minutes, which includes the time spent looting and sorting through the drops. Therefore, running all 30 Simulacrums required about 10 hours of gameplay.
This makes it a substantial time commitment, so it’s essential to be prepared for an extended session of intense action and careful management of your resources.
● Total Simulacrums: 30
● Total Time Spent: ~10 hours
● Simulacrums per Hour: 3
Now, let's break down the loot. Over the course of 30 Simulacrums in our PoE Settlers of Kalguur League Simulacrums Farming Guide, we gathered a wide variety of currencies, items, and other valuable drops. Here's what we found:
Here’s a breakdown of the general currency we gathered from our Simulacrum farming:
● Chaos Orbs: 138 (~1 Divine)
● Divine Orbs: 3
● Exalted Orbs: 4
● Orb of Annulment: 6
● Ancient Orbs: 10
● Gemcutter's Prisms: 37
● Stacked Decks: 582 (This represents a significant portion of the overall profit)
The total value of these currencies amounts to approximately 10 Divines, showcasing the substantial return on investment from our farming efforts.
In our Simulacrum farming haul, we collected a variety of fossils and resonators:
● Fossils: A diverse assortment, including both common and rare types. Among these, Shattering Fossils stood out as the most valuable, each worth approximately 13-14 Chaos Orbs.
● Prime Chaotic Resonators: 2
Overall, the fossils and resonators contributed around 2 Divines to our total earnings, adding a nice boost to the overall loot from our farming session.
In addition to the other items, our Simulacrum farming session yielded:
● Oils: After upgrading, we secured 1 Opalescent Oil and 1 Silver Oil.
● Splinters: Predominantly Xoph’s Breachstone, valued at approximately 12-15 Chaos Orbs each. From this, you can get around 1 Divine maximum.
● Scarabs: We gathered a total of 516 Basic Scarabs, each averaging around 2 Chaos Orbs. Additionally, we found a few more valuable Ambush Scarabs, worth about 22 Chaos Orbs each.
These drops collectively amount to around 10 Divines. However, selling them could require some patience, as the process might take a bit of time.
● Megalomaniacs: We collected numerous Megalomaniacs during our runs. However, they can be tricky to price-check and often don't sell well, so we’re not including them in the final tally.
● Split Personalities: Most of these jewels are valued at less than 5 Chaos Orbs each. However, we did find one notable exception—Aster and Maximum Life, which is worth around 6-7 Divines.
While Megalomaniacs might not contribute significantly to the final tally due to their unpredictable market value, Split Personalities still added some valuable items to our haul.
● Voices: Regrettably, we didn't come across any significant Voices drops in our runs. The best we managed to find were a few 5 Small Passive Skill Voices, each worth approximately 15 Chaos Orbs. In return, you get around 0.5 Divines.
● Essences: Our haul mostly included basic Screaming Essences, which we upgraded to Deafening Essences. The total value of these essences is roughly 1 Divine.
While the essence drops provided some value, the lack of notable Voices meant that this part of our loot was less impactful.
● Divination Cards: We gathered 3 Darker Half Divination Cards, each valued at approximately 60 Chaos Orbs.
● Jewels: Among the jewels, we found a small Cluster Jewel featuring 3 Passive Skills and Mana Reservation Efficiency, worth around 1.3 Divines.
These drops collectively contribute an additional 3 Divines to our total haul.
● Mortal Fragments: Throughout our Simulacrum farming, we gathered an assortment of Mortal Fragments, including Mortal Grief, Mortal Rage, Mortal Hope, and Mortal Ignorance. Each of these fragments has its own unique value and utility, but together, they contribute roughly 2 Divines to our total haul.
Running 30 Simulacrums in the Settlers of Kalguur League proved to be an intense, time-consuming experience. The total profit came out to approximately 35 Divines, which is decent, but it requires significant effort to sort and sell all the loot. PoE Simulacrum Divine farming can be lucrative, but it’s not without its challenges. If you’re up for the grind and enjoy the thrill of battling wave after wave of enemies, this strategy could be for you. However, if you’re looking for a quicker, more straightforward way to earn currency, you might want to explore other options.
What approach would it be you might ask? Well, you can Buy PoE Currency and Items from MMOPixel at budget friendly pricing and quick delivery. It will lower the burden and make it worth your time.
In the end, Simulacrum farming is a gamble—sometimes you hit it big, and sometimes, well, not so much. So, are you ready to take on the challenge and see if the risk is worth the reward?
