Since the release of the well-received Call Of Duty game, Black Ops 6, Treyarch has been releasing updates almost daily to solve some of the game's issues, including new content, launch events, and other reasons. But in a recent update for Black Ops 6 on November 21,Treyarch unintentionally reset the Zombies profile data and Solo game saves, including the Multiplayer loadouts of some Black Ops 6 players in an attempt to deploy fixes to some issues in the game.
About the issue of players losing their Multiplayer profile data, Treyarch posted on Trello that for players who logged in after the first update but before the second, the restoration of Multiplayer Medal profile data will begin shortly for players impacted by the reset to their last available backup and may take some time. Treyarch also explains that medals obtained between the first update and the second, the restoration point will be impacted.
“We will communicate when the restoration has been completed. Any players who noticetheir Medals and Intel not being restored at that point should reach out to Player Support.”Treyarch goes on to encourage players in this category to reach out if their medals and Intel weren't restored after Treyarch has confirmed the restoration process.
A similar thing was said in another Trello post by Treyarch for players who lost their Sologame saves and logged in after the first update but before the second, in which they said,“After the most recent update, players who have not created a new Solo Save will see their previous save file restored and available for use.”
To sum up Treyarch’s Trello post, the update resulted in:
● Reset Multiplayer profile data: Some players' multiplayer profile data was reset.
● Reset Zombies profile data: Some players' Zombies profile data was reset.● Loss of Medals and Intel: Players lost medals and intel data in both Multiplayer and
Zombies modes.
● Loss of Customizations and Loadouts: Players lost their customizations and loadouts in both Multiplayer and Zombies modes. The developers have taken the following steps to restore the lost data:
● Restoration of Medals and Intel: Restoration of medals and intel data has begun, but any progress made between the release of the first update and the restoration point will not be retained.
● Restoration of Solo Save Files: Players' previous solo save files will be restored in Zombies mode.
● Recreation of Customizations and Loadouts: Players will need to recreate their previous customizations and loadouts in both Multiplayer and Zombies modes. The developers are working to resolve these issues and restore player data. Players whose data aren't restored, are encouraged to “recreate their previous customizations and load-outs in both Multiplayer and Zombies modes”.
In conclusion, Black Ops 6 has undoubtedly faced its fair share of challenges, testing the patience of its devoted player base. From the removal of beloved features like Legacy XP tokens to the rapid increase of cheaters in Ranked Play and the overpowered Mangler zombies, the game has encountered several frustrating issues. However, Treyarch has continued to demonstrate its commitment to addressing these ongoing issues, while releasing new fixes and updates for Black Ops 6 to improve the overall experience.
