WoW Classic Season of Discovery Phase 2 Guide to Rogue New Abilities and Talents

The launch of Phase 2 of World of Warcraft: Season of Discovery is days away. The main focus of this blog is going to be Rogue class of Phase 2. Rogue class is an amazing choice for 1v1, PvP combats. The biggest plus of the rogue class is their burst damage powers. Especially, when geared up with high CC, they can use amazing abilities like Ambush and Backstab. Their talent tree is also viable and the class can combine shots that can stun players. Phase 2 is going to hold more for us. In this blog, we will discuss possible new talents and abilities that Rogue class will have in Phase 2.

New Runes

A new set of Rogue runes is expected to be launched with Phase 2 of the game. They are listed below with the abilities that are available to each of them. Before jumping to the runes, make sure you have enough stock of Gold, the in-game currency of WoW Classic SoD. If you are falling short of the same, get it for real money from reputed and trusted seller MMOPixel.

Visit our website MMOPIxel to purchase WoW Classic SoD Gold at the cheapest rate on the web. We offer quick delivery, safe payments, and 24x7 chat support.

Engrave Belt

First, we’ll discuss the abilities that are available under the Engrave Belt rune. In the new phase, we have the Poisoned Knife. You can throw your off-hand weapon to deal with damage while having a 100% chance to apply poison from your weapon to the target. It shall award you with one combo point. Poison Knife benefits from various talents and effects that trigger from Sinister Strike. Shuriken Toss causes damage to the enemies which can be increased by 25% and it also lets you strike additional targets with combo points.

The famous shadow Step rune lets you increase Movement Speed by 70% for Three seconds and it also allows you to disappear from the place and appear behind your enemy for a backstab attack. For example, take a combat against any other class. If the other class tries to attack you or even use their abilities against you, you can just vanish and then appear behind the enemies and strike them back with your special ability. With the Poisoned Knife ability, it looks amazing against warriors and hunters.

Engrave Boots

Runes on Engrave boots have Master of Subtlety. The attacks made with this ability while stealthed and after breaking stealth for 6 seconds, it will let you cause 10% additional damage to the enemy. In the same rune, we have the Waylay. This is a wonderful tool to make the opponent fall off balance. If you strike your target with your Ambush or Backstab abilities, it makes your opponent unstable while reducing their movement speed by 50% for 8 Sec and increasing the interval between melee attacks by 10%. Again, the ability namely ‘Rolling with the Punches’ engraves your boots with this ability. Whenever you dodge or roll or parry, you can actually gain health which is around 6%, stacking up to five times.

Engrave Helm

It contains Combat Potency, Focused attacks, and Honor Among Thieves. The Combat Potency increases the chances of gaining 15 energy every time you let your off-hand weapon deal with the melee damage. With the focused attack ability, you can gain two energy whenever you deal with a ranged or melee critical strike. The Honor Among Thief is a special ability. Whenever any one of the members of the party hits critically with a spell or an ability, you can also gain combo points on your current targets. Yet, this effect can appear only once every second.

Best BiS

We have discussed various runes and the abilities available under each of them. Now, we shall move on to the next part which can be useful before going into the Gnomeregan raid at Level 40. The following are the most recommended BiS items to be in hand for Phase 2, especially, where the raid is going to be a weakness of the entire build.

For the head, we will have the Artemis Cowl of Level 25 and the White Bandit Mask of Level 38. For the neck, it is recommended to have the Sentinel’s Medallion and Scout’s Medallion from the Warsong Gulch. Or, another one can be the Zealous Shadowshard Pendant. This Pendant is of Level 42. As it is equipped, it increases attack power by 20. For shoulders, we can have the Wild Leathers of Agility, Imposing Shoulders of Agility, and the Forest Tracker Epaulets. Let the main hand weapon be the Gut-ripper, Blood harvest Blade, Sentinel’s Blade. For the off-hand weapons, we have Blood spattered Stiletto, Vanquisher’s Sword and Sacrificial Kris of Power

WoW Classic Season of Discovery Phase 2 Guide to Rogue New Abilities and Talents

Drawbacks in Phase 2 for Rogue Class

In Phase 1, the Rogue class’ main abilities are damages that are caused due to Bleeding and Poisons. It was an advantage for PvP in Phase 1. But the same cannot be said for the upcoming phase. In Phase 2, the most awaited addition to the game is the Gnomeregan Raids. Rogue class is expected to run into some issues with enemies in these raids. Gnomeregan’s strength is the mechanic bosses and enemies that do not incur any damage due to the Bleeding and Poison attacks. If this is going to be the same, the class that is going to get affected the most will be the Rogue as these abilities are the main talents of this class. If this shouldn't be a problem, rogues should change their talents from Bleeds to Backstab for Phase 2.

Conclusion

In this blog, we have discussed several new runes of the Rogue class and the abilities that are available to them in Phase 2 of the WoW Classic. We have looked into the special power of each ability and what kind of points, health, and energy you can gain with these abilities. To conclude, we have also seen the biggest drawback of the rogue in the upcoming challenge; the Gnomeregan raid. It is wise to invest in the right ability and trade with vendors who deal with the right recipes which can help you with strengthening for the raids even though bleed and poison damage is going to be of lesser use in Phase 2.
