Welcome to our Throne and Liberty Guide to Best Greatsword & Dagger DPS CRIT Build. In this article we are going to discuss everything about this Build. It will help you understand a bit more about the Throne and Liberty Build and Greatsword and Dagger weapons and help you make right decisions as a beginner. Make sure you read along the entire article so that you don’t miss a thing. Let’s begin by discussing the Setup of the Build first.

Build Setup of Greatsword & Dagger

Talking about the Greatsword & Dagger and its combination with melee DPS build, it provides an extremely powerful setup that can be deadly for your opponents. The Greatsword & Dagger build setup has its own Crowd Control and OP Critical Damage output. This DPS Build has everything that you can ask for. So, in this section we are going to discuss the crucial components of the Greatsword & Dagger build. We will be looking at the components like Skills, Stats, Equipment, Weapons Main/Off-Hand, and Passives. Let’s start this section by discussing Stats.

Stats

There are many stats of the Greatsword & Dagger Build, but two of the most important stats are:

  • Strength - Strength is a crucial stat that can be used to boost the damage done by melee weapons. It can also increase the Resistance and HP.

  • Dexterity - Another important stat, Dexterity can enhance the Chances of dealing a Critical Hit, increase the speed of your movement and also the speed of your attacks.

If you are wondering which stat you should improve first given that you have limited points to allocate, our advice would be to start with the Strength. Increase your strength as much as you can and after that you can allocate the remaining points to the Dexterity sometime later.

Weapons

  • Greatsword is used in Main Hand

  • Dagger is used in Off-hand

It’s in the name of the build. Greatsword & Dagger are the two weapons that you would be using with this build setup in your main and off-hand respectively. The two weapons complement each other and it is evident from the way they work together. When used together you can feel the power of these two weapons and it is safe to say this is one of the strongest combos of the game.

While using the combo, players should also remember that even if they are utilizing the main-hand weapon, Greatsword, the off-hand weapon’s (Dagger) passive skills remain active throughout the battle. Greatsword is the weapon that you should use when you are looking to deal a lot of damage to the opponents and use Crowd Control (CC) abilities. On the other hand, Dagger can be used alongside Greatsword as it increases the effects of these abilities and attacks by providing poison to these. Using Dagger helps you get an improved rate of Critical Damage and Chance. You also get an additional Chance with which you can Proc the DMG boost that you receive from the Guillotine Blade.

Skills

In this section we will be providing the list of skills that we can use with the Greatsword & Dagger Build. Currently, there are only 7 skills that can be used with Greatsword and 5 skills that can be used with the Dagger. The skills that can be used through Greatsword are for maximizing the Damage dealt, whereas Dagger Skills provide a mixture of mobility as well as damage. Let’s discuss all these skills in detail.

Skills of Greatsword

  • Will Breaker – The extraordinary prowess manifested through the deployment of this formidable Greatsword Skill enables the infliction of 100% of the base damage upon all opponents encompassed within a semicircular expanse of 3 meters in the specifically designated direction. Simultaneously, it forces a reduction in their magical, ranged and melee defenses by an impressive magnitude of 720.

  • Ascension Slash – Use this Greatsword Skill in order to deal a high damage to a target. This attack lets you inflict Prone with an 80% chance if the target is Sleeping, bound or stunned. It is worth mentioning that the Prone will last for about 3 seconds only.

  • Gaia Crash – This Greatsword Skill can be used if you are looking to use Area of Effect damage in the direction where your target is standing.

  • Death Blow – This Greatsword Skill can be used to deal damage. The damage dealt by you is enhanced up to 30% in case the enemy is stunned already. It will also work the same way if the target is sleeping or Bounded.

  • Stunning Blow – This Greatsword Skill can be used to deal damage. The damage dealt can have an 80% rate of your opponents being stunned for a brief period of 2 seconds.

  • Precision Dash – This Greatsword Skill allows the user to charge directly at the target. This lets them deal more damage.

Skills of Dagger

  • Predatory Strike – Imparts 490% Damage + 80 additional damage initially, followed by an extra 40% Damage consecutively. Inflicted damage sees a 9% augmentation when the target is subject to your ongoing Poison, Curse, or Burning Damage.

  • Camouflage Cloak – Lets you conceal yourself from enemy’s attacks for 6.5 seconds. No one can see you and no one can attack you as well. The initial magical, ranged and melee Attack executed while concealed ensures a forceful impact. Visibility is forfeited upon any offensive action or morphing. That means you can be seen by the opponents if you do so.

  • Ankle Strike – Inflicts substantial damage with an 80% chance of inducing Prone when applied to individuals who are Sleeping, Bound, or Stunned. The Prone condition persists for a duration of 3 seconds. Essentially, this skill mirrors Ascension Slash but with a dagger as a weapon.

  • Inject Venom – This skill can be used to Add Enfeeble. It allows you to add poison to every attack for 6 seconds. Though the poison is only there for 6 seconds, it will continue to deal damage continuously. It will also stop the regeneration of health.

  • Shadow Strike – This dagger skill allows you to get past an enemy and attack the target from behind to deal damage.

Combos

  • Use Stunning Blow followed by Death Blow - The most basic combination achievable with this setup involves Stunning your opponents, leading to a 30% increase in damage inflicted by Death Blow. While this may be the least potent combination, it proves advantageous when operating at lower levels or when unable to execute a more intricate sequence due to various factors such as cooldowns or time constraints.

  • Begin with Inject Venom, follow it with Stunning Blow and finally use Death Blow - A somewhat more intricate iteration of the prior combination.
