Final Fantasy XIV Gunbreaker Guide

If you play Final Fantasy XIV, you must have heard the name "Gunbreaker." But what exactly is Gunbreaker, and why is it so important? The history of Gunbreakers in Final Fantasy XIV started with the original game. In 2010, when Final Fantasy XIV was released, there was a problem: players could not get their hands on high-level Gear because they needed more money. This led to some players being unable to compete against other high-level players.

To fix this problem, Square Enix implemented a new job system for players called "Gunbreakers." Gunbreakers were players who could break any item down into its constituent parts so anyone could use them! This meant that even if you had no money or items, you could still be competitive at high levels.

Now that you have an introduction to the Gunbreakers in Final Fantasy XIV let's take a closer look at how they work in Final Fantasy XIV Gunbreaker.

About Gunbreaker

The Gunbreaker system in Final Fantasy XIV is slightly different from the one in Final Fantasy XV. In Final Fantasy XIV, when you give an item to a Gunbreaker, they will break it down into its constituent parts so anyone can use them.

If you gave them an item with stats (like Strength or Vitality), those stats would be removed and added to the Gunbreaker's inventory for other players to use! However, there are some items like weapons and armor that a Gunbreaker cannot break down; these items must be sold for Gil instead of broken down into their base materials. The items you give to a Gunbreaker are gone forever, but the materials you get back can be used to make new items. You can also sell those materials to other players who want them for crafting!

Strengths and Weaknesses

When it comes to Gunbreaker, we have to admit that it's an enjoyable job. But the weakness of this job is its speed - it can be hard to keep up with other people in a fight, especially if they're using skills that require more movement than yours.

The strengths of Gunbreaker include its ability to deal great damage and take hits while keeping your distance from the enemy. You'll also find yourself able to take down enemies quickly by removing their access to their guns. To summarise:

Strengths:

  • Fast, strong attacks that deal heavy damage

  • Powerful gun skills that can be used to great effect in PvP and PvE combat

Weaknesses:

  • Weak against magic attacks and heals

  • Gun skills have limited range, so they are not as effective when attacking long-range enemies

We think this is an excellent job for people who love Final Fantasy XIV but want something different from what's already out there.

Final Fantasy XIV Gunbreaker Gameplay

Power Gaudge

The Gunbreaker Powder Gaudge is a collection of recipes that allow you to improve the stats of your weapons. The recipes are unlocked by collecting items and using them in the gunsmithing table at your capital city's crafting quarter. Each recipe requires a specific number of gunbroker crystals, and some require more than one type of crystal to unlock.

You can find the Gunbreaker Powder Gaudge in your item inventory under "Guildhestry" or by visiting your nearest crafting quarter.

Skills

Gunbreaker skills are a set of skills that allow you to enhance the power of your guns by augmenting them with elemental or physical attributes. The Gunbreaker skill tree consists of three tiers: Weapon Master, True Foe, and Enchanter. The first tier allows you to augment your weapons with physical properties, while True Foe and Enchanter require a weapon with an elemental property to unlock their respective tiers. If a weapon doesn't have an element, it will use whatever element is associated with the caster's current job class.

  • There are two types of Gunbreaker skills: Gunbreaker and Gunbreaker Pro. The former grants +5% damage and +5% accuracy with guns, while the latter grants +10% damage and +10% accuracy with guns.

  • In addition to these bonuses, Gunbreakers can equip guns with a particular addon called "Slots." Slots allow you to equip up to three different items, such as potions or ammunition onto your weapons at once.

Job Quests

The Gunbreakers are a group of adventurers dedicated to studying gunpowder and firearms. They believe that with guns, they can protect the people they love from harm and are willing to use their skills to defend their homes and cities. The Gunbreaker job quest series is divided into three distinct branches: The Warrior, The Archer, and The Ninja. You can only begin one branch at a time, but you can complete all three branches in any order.

Weapons

The Gunbreaker Gear is a set of armor and weapons that are designed to give the player more options in combat. The set is comprised of the following:

  1. Gunbreaker Body: This armor protects against high-level attacks and increases your survivability. It also has an active effect that allows you to use guns while wearing it, which is very useful because it will enable you to use your gun without having to unequip it first.

  2. Gunbreaker Arms: These arms have a very high defense rating, which means they will take less damage when you hit an enemy with your gun. They also have an active effect that allows you to attack twice with your gun in one turn, which is excellent for getting through mobs quickly!

  3. Gunbreaker HeadGear: This headwear gives you extra accuracy when using guns, making hitting enemies easier and more likely to land critical hits on them. Its active effect also gives you a chance to deal extra damage when attacking with your gun!
