Final Fantasy XIV Zodiac Weapons Guide

There are countless hours of material in Final Fantasy 14, and you can spend too much time focusing on a single objective. You can choose to create a Zodiac Relic Weapon after finishing A Realm Reborn. Even though it will take an absurdly long time to finish, the weapon will be well worth the effort. In this tutorial, we'll go over everything you need to know to finish your Zodiac Weapon.

Finish the quest 'The Weaponsmith Of Legend'

Pre-requisites

  • Finish the Main Scenario Quest The Ultimate Weapon

  • Complete all of your selected job's classes and job missions

NPC Placement

  • Nedrick, from Western Thanalan's Vesper Bay.

You must only complete this first mission in the Zodiac Weapon quest once. Go to Revenant's Toll in Mor Dhona after accepting this mission from Nedrick in Vesper Bay. Speak to Rowena there, and she will send you to Gerolt in Hyrstmill, North Shroud.

For the Zodiac questline, Gerolt will be among the primary NPCs you will frequently return to speak with.

Complete The Quest' A Relic Reborn'

NPC Placement

  • Gerolt - Hyrstmill, North Shroud

You must contact Gerolt in Hyrstmill to start this quest. He'll ask you to go to a Beast Tribe fortress and retrieve a broken weapon. Your role will determine where you can find this weapon.

You will need to utilize a variety of weapons as a type of blueprint for your Relic when you recover the broken weapon. Depending on your role, you will need to meld different materials onto that weapon. These weapons are available for purchase on the Market Board, can be made by a crafter for you, or can be made by you.

The next step is to fuse two of a particular material onto your weapon. If you have the right crafter leveled up, you can either do it yourself or have someone else do it for you. A Materia Melder NPC can also merge the materia and the weapons for you if you request their assistance.

Below is a list of the weapons and equipment required for each job.

FFXIV Relic Weapons

You will receive your standard Relic Weapon as a prize for finishing this stage, which you must use for the remaining portions of this step. The 8-man challenge A Relic Reborn: The Chimera, where you must battle the Chimera, will come next. Once you complete this portion of the quest, you will always have access to this trial.

After defeating the Chimera, contact Gerolt, who will direct you to return to Rowena in Mor Dhona. Amdapor Keep will eventually be required of you as your selected job. After finishing this dungeon, head back to Gerolt to start the next phase of this quest.

You will eventually obtain your relic weapon, although there is still work to be done to finish this process. After that, use your new weapon to kill eight times each of three different enemy kinds for several 24 kills. You'll then need to finish the following tasks and get the specified item. They must be finished in this specific order.

  • Hydra, a Relic Reborn

  • Embers in a Bowl (Hard)

  • The Howling Eye (Hard)

  • Navel (Hard)

Send one Radz-at-Han Quenching Oil to Gerolt after passing these trials. Then, from Auriana in Mor Dhona, you can purchase this object for 15 Tomestones of Poetics.

Complete the Zenith Upgrade

There isn't any quest linked with this phase, making it special. Simply collect three Thavnairian Mist and bring them to the burner in Hyrstmill to complete this step.

Each of these goods costs 20 Poetic Tomestones, for a total of 60 Poetics. If you have a Relic Weapon equipped, remove it before putting it and Thavnairian Mist into the furnace to enhance your Relic to its Zenith form.

Complete The Quest' Up In Arms'

NPC Placement

  • Jalzahn - Hyrstmill, North Shroud

Jalzahn will request you to collect items referred to as Atma for this mission. You will require 12 Atma, which you can obtain from FATEs in the following zones.

Use your Relic Weapon to finish these FATEs because you will only get Atma if it's equipped.

You only need to finish the Up in Arms quest once for each character; after that, all you need to do is get the Atma and present them to Jalzahn.

Location

Atma of the Archer

Western La Noscea

Atma of the Crab

Deliver the 12 Atma to Jalzahn after you've collected them all, and he will enhance your weapon. You will be rewarded with the Atma weapon.

A Zodiac weapon must be carefully crafted, which takes time, ingredients, Gil, and other resources. If you are falling short of Gils, you can easily purchase them at very reasonable rate.

Finish The Trials of the Braves

NPC Placement

  • Jalzahn - Hyrstmill, North Shroud

The Zodiac Weapon mission truly gets to grind at this point. Get this mission from Jalzahn first, and he will direct you to Mor Dhona. You will eventually encounter G'jusana, an essential NPC for the rest of this stage.

You'll need to purchase 100 Tomestones of Poetics' worth of books from G'jusana. You must fulfill the numerous tasks listed in each book. There seem to be nine Books in all, and there are 19 activities in each book. Although the tasks differ from Book to Book, the activities you complete will always be similar. Each task must be completed while your Relic Weapon is equipped. The following tasks are required of you in each book.

  • Conquer all three Dungeons.

  • Beat each of the ten opponents three times.

  • Finish three FATEs.

  • Three Levequests must be completed.

You may only possess one book at the given time, and you cannot purchase another until the first is finished and given to G'jusana. Your current work will be erased if you purchase another book without completing the one you're working on right now. You will be rewarded with the Animus weapon.

Finish The Quest' Celestial Radiance'

 NPC Placement

  • Jalzahn - Hyrstmill, North Shroud

Celestial Radiance is primarily a tale quest that needs to be finished once. So, as the NPCs direct you, go in that direction. Finally, you must pay Auriana in Mor Dhona for three Superior Enchanted Ink. These have a total price of 75 Poetics or 25 Poetics per item. You will get a Sphere Scroll after handing in the Ink, which you will require for the following action.

Finish The Quest 'The Vital Title'

NPC Placement

  • Jalzahn - Hyrstmill, North Shroud

You will receive a Zodiac Zeta weapon for completing this task, which is the final part of the Zodiac Weapon quest line. This stage is comparable to the one where you previously collected light points. But this time, you'll need to shine a light on 12 different Mahatmas. There will be 40 light points required for each Mahatma, and their names are as follows.

  • Mahatma of the Ram

  • Mahatma of the Goat

  • Mahatma of the Crab

  • Mahatma of the Twins

  • Mahatma of the Scales

  • Mahatma of the Lion

  • Mahatma of the Scorpion

  • Mahatma of the Maiden

  • Mahatma of the Water-bearer

  • Mahatma of the Archer

  • Mahatma of the Bull

  • Mahatma of the Fish

Each Mahatma must be purchased from Remon present in North Shroud, a total of 600 Poetics for all 12 Mahatma. They have to be finished in the sequence mentioned above.

The same process as before can be used to get light points. The fastest way to finish this quest is to make two trips via Tam-Tara Deepcroft for each Mahatma. You just need to complete two clears of this dungeon—which awards 24 light points - to defeat a Mahatma. With a small party size and an unsynced run of Tam-Tara, you should have little trouble finishing it swiftly.

Once all 12 Mahatma have been infused, engage with Jalzahn and choose Zodiac Weapon Awakening. You can finish creating your Zodiac weapon by watching the brief cutscene. You will be rewarded with the Zodiac Zeta Weapon.

Other missions to receive zodiac weapons

  • Complete The Quest' Star Light, Star Bright' to acquire Novus Weapon.

  • Complete The Quest' Mmmmmm, Soulglazed Relics' to acquire Nexus Weapon.

  • Complete The Quest' Wherefore Art Thou, Zodiac' to acquire Zodiac Braves Weapon.

Conclusion

A Zodiac weapon must be carefully crafted, which takes time, ingredients, Gil, and other resources. Level 50 weapons nowadays need to be updated and shouldn't be utilized past level 55 or so, even though they were previously the greatest you could have. Nevertheless, you will undoubtedly want to create a Zodiac weapon due to the power and awe of possessing one of the most exclusive items in the game.
