Diablo IV is one of those unique games that will challenge the players to explore Sanctuary's vast and dark world, where they will face hordes of demons, undead, and other horrors. Among these enemies, some stand out as the most formidable and fearsome: the World Bosses.
World Bosses are massive creatures that can spawn in different locations across the five regions of Sanctuary: Scosglen, Fractured Peaks, Dry Steppes, Kehjistan, and Hawezar. They are optional encounters that are not part of the main story. Three World Bosses can currently spawn in Diablo IV: Ashava the Pestilent, Wandering Death, and Avarice the Gold Cursed.
Given the complexity and difficulty of World Bosses, players need to approach them with well-thought-out strategies. This is where planning, communication, and flexibility come into play. Here are some general tips that will serve you well in every World Boss encounter:

Now that we have covered some general tips for World Bosses, let's look at some specific strategies for each one of them.
Ashava is a giant insectoid creature that has 2 blades on her arms which do great damage to players, on top of that she has sharp teeth and a big jaw to do which can seriously impact your health. But along with it, her poisoning abilities are also to worry about.
The fight against Ashava has three phases:
Phase 1: Ashava will use her blades to slash at players in front of her or around her. She will also spit poison projectiles that create poison clouds on impact. These clouds deal damage over time and reduce your movement speed, so avoid them as much as possible. Use Elixirs as Antidote to negate the poison effect if you get hit. Ashava will also summon smaller insects that will swarm around her and attack players. Do the damage to the blades as destroying them will take you to the next phase.
Phase 2: Ashava will lose her blades and become more aggressive. She will use her mouth to bite players in front of her or around her, dealing massive damage and stunning them. She will also use her tail to slam the ground, creating shockwaves that deal damage and knockback players. She will continue to spit poison projectiles and summon smaller insects as before. In this phase, her weak spot is her mouth, so try to position yourself behind or beside her and attack her when she opens her mouth. Focus on her mouth as its destruction will lead you to the final phase.
Phase 3: The boss will now unleash her full power. She will use all of her previous attacks but with more frequency and intensity. She will also create a large poison cloud around her that deals constant damage and reduces your movement speed. She will also summon smaller insects that will explode on death, dealing damage and creating more poisonous clouds. Focus on the tail which is also her weak point and destroying it will give you victory.
As the name suggests, this is an enemy to not be taken lightly. It is a skeletal enemy that keeps changing to create traps out of bones that explode to take you out if you touch them.
The fight against Wandering Death has three phases:
Phase 1: Wandering Death will use his arms to swipe at players in front of him or around him. He will also slam the ground with his arms or his body, creating shockwaves that deal damage and knockback players. He will also summon skeletal minions that will attack players or explode on death, dealing damage and creating bone circles on the ground. These bone circles will trap players inside them and explode after a few seconds, dealing massive damage. You can avoid them by using movement skills or the Elixirs of Freedom to break free. Wandering Death will also shoot beams of death from his eyes or his chest, dealing damage and stunning players who touch them. You can avoid them by moving out of their path or using defensive skills or Elixirs of Protection to reduce the damage. Focus on dealing damage to Wandering Death's arms, as they are his weak spots in this phase. When both arms are destroyed, he will move to the next phase.
Phase 2: Wandering Death will lose his arms and grow wings instead. He will use his wings to fly around the arena and dive at players, dealing damage and knockback. He will also use his wings to create gusts of wind that push players away from him or toward him. He will continue to summon skeletal minions and shoot beams of death as before. In this phase, his weak spot is his chest, so try to position yourself below him and attack him when he dives or shoots beams from his chest. Be careful not to get hit by his wings or pushed by his wind gusts. When his chest is destroyed, he will move to the final phase.
Phase 3: Wandering Death will become enraged and unleash his full power. He will use all of his previous attacks but with more frequency and intensity. He will also create a large bone circle around him that traps all players inside it and explodes after a few seconds, dealing massive damage. This bone circle will shrink over time, forcing you to get closer to him. Be careful not to get hit by his wings or pushed by his wind gusts. Focus on the head as it being the weak point will give you victory.
This one has teleportation so you don’t know where it might poo out from. Expect a lot of portals around the arena along with a hammer to bash you down and a swinging treasure chest that hits you hard. The gold is not to be trifled with as well as it explodes due to being ignited by the blows from the hammer.
The fight against Avarice has three phases:
Phase 1: Avarice will use his hammer to smash players in front of him or around him. He will also throw his hammer at players, dealing damage and stunning them. He will also use his chest to block attacks or bash players, dealing damage and knockback. He will also create portals around the arena and teleport through them, changing his position and direction. He will also vomit gold on the ground, creating pools of gold that deal damage over time and reduce your movement speed. You can avoid them by using Elixirs of Antidote to negate the gold effect if you get hit. Avarice will also summon gold nodes around the arena that explode when he hits them with his hammer, dealing damage and creating more pools of gold. Focus on dealing damage to Avarice's hammer, as it is his weak spot in this phase. When his hammer is destroyed, he will move to the next phase.
Phase 2: Avarice will lose his hammer and use his chest more often. He will use his chest to block attacks or bash players as before. He will also open his chest and unleash a barrage of gold coins that deal damage and stun players who touch them. You can avoid them by moving out of their path or using defensive skills or Elixirs of Protection to reduce the damage. He will continue to create portals and teleport through them as before. He will also vomit gold and summon gold nodes as before. In this phase, his weak spot is his chest, so try to position yourself behind or beside him and attack him when he opens his chest. Finishing off his chest will take you to the final phase.
Phase 3: Avarice will become enraged and unleash his full power. He will use all of his previous attacks but with more frequency and intensity. He will also create a large pool of gold around him that deals constant damage and reduces your movement speed. This pool which is also a shrinking one will reduce the distance between both of you. Now you need to focus on the head which is also his weak point. Be careful not to get hit by his coins or pushed by his bash.
