World of Warcraft: WotLK PvE Blood Death Knight Tank Guide

When you first get into World of Warcraft's new expansion, Wrath of Lich King, one of the first things you'll want to do is head over to your garrison and put down a training camp. As you do this, you'll notice that there are many new options for how to play your character. One of these options is tanking, and if you're like most people, it might not have occurred to you to consider tanking until now.

The Death Knight Tank is a tanking class specializing in slowing down, damaging, and controlling enemy players. The Death Knight tank has access to several different abilities that can be used to help control their enemies and other abilities that can help them survive. For example, Death Knights can use the Frost Presence passive ability, which increases the damage they inflict on targets that are slowed by 25%; this is especially useful against players who try to flee from a boss encounter.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of Lich King PvE Blood is a new class that has been added to the game. It is a hybrid class between the Warrior and Monk classes, designed to be used in raids and dungeons.

The main features of this class are:

The ability to use all 3 specializations from the other 2 classes (Warrior and Monk) at level 1, except the Demonology Warlock specialization. This means you can choose which specialization you want to use on your character from the start without going through any levels as a specific class first.

You can then respec back into one of these other classes easily later if desired (or even just change your mind!).

This guide will show you how to become a successful Death Knight tank in World of Warcraft: Wrath of Lich King PvE content.

Blood Death Knight Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths:

The Death Knight's main strength is its versatility. With abilities that can be used to deal with a wide range of threats and situations, you'll be able to adapt to whatever situation you're in. You can use your Frost Armor and Unholy Aura to take less damage from physical attacks, your Howl of Terror to stun enemies and increase your damage output, or your Defile ability to remove buffs from enemies.

You also have several choices for dealing with each sort of opponent. Your Devastate ability quickly kills most bosses, but your Frost Strike ability deals massive damage to single targets or groups of opponents with no danger. Your Carrion Swarm ability will infect all nearby enemies with a disease, increasing their vulnerability to damage and making them more likely to attack others after you or another player character kills them.

Your mastery over death allows you to use the abilities of other classes without worrying about making mistakes due to unfamiliarity with those abilities. This gives you more freedom than most players when playing other characters at higher levels because it makes it easier for you to avoid unnecessary deaths by using abilities that match up well against what other classes do elsewhere in the game world.

For Blood DKs, healing is the most important thing. Even when the healers die or are silenced, you can keep yourself alive for a long time using self-healing alone. Healers will not have to stress about the HP as they do in the case of other tanks.

Another interesting feature of Blood DKs is their very simple rotation, especially when considering the rotation of Frost and Unholy tanks. The straightforward nature of their talents makes Blood DKs the perfect fit for players who love tanking but are not very experienced.

Weaknesses:

Death Knights are among the most powerful classes in the game, and they're also one of the most popular. But some weaknesses can still make them much less effective than other players. Here are a few things you should keep in mind as you level up your Blood Death Knight:

They have a less-than-stellar escape rate once they've been engaged in combat. If you find yourself in a situation where you need to run away quickly, consider using abilities like Frost Presence or Unholy Might to increase your speed and distance from enemies—but avoid wasting time with Unholy Might unless it's necessary.

Their healing spells aren't as good at healing multiple targets as other classes' healing spells; if multiple enemies attack your party members at once, they may need more frequent heals than other players do.

They're weak against magic damage, making them vulnerable to certain classes like Priests or Mages who specialize in dealing elemental damage (such as Fire Mages).

The Blood Death Knight is the tankiest of all the Death Knight specializations. They are also the slowest and have to be if they want to heal their party reliably. This can be a great boon to your raid group, but it can also make them easy targets for damage dealers and spell casters.

Blood Death Knights do not have access to any defensive spells or abilities that mitigate damage, such as Shield Wall or Unholy Aura. This means that when an enemy tries to attack them, nothing stops them from doing so! They have no way of protecting themselves from ranged attacks from afar.

All of these weaknesses combined mean that this specialization is especially vulnerable compared to other tanking classes—they need to be more careful in their positioning than other tanks because players on either side so easily target them.

In addition to being weak defensively, Blood Death Knights have some other weaknesses: They have low stamina regeneration and a very small health pool (compared with other tanks). This means that someone else's tanking needs aren't met if you run out of mana while healing.

Blood Death Knight Utility

The Blood Death Knight can choose a new specialization at level 70 that allows you to choose between different paths, each with its own unique set of abilities:

Blood - The blood path focuses on making your character more durable and resilient. As the name suggests, this path increases the amount of health your character has by increasing their base health and reducing damage taken when at low health. You also have access to the Unholy Aura ability, which increases your party's healing while under its effects.

Frost - The frost path increases how much damage you deal by increasing your crit rating and attacking speed and giving you an increased chance for critical strikes with spells. You also have access to improved Frostbolt (a ranged attack), which does even more damage when used from range. Lastly, you receive an additional charge of Icebound Fortitude whenever you enter combat. This ability increases your armor by 20% for 15 seconds after being struck by physical attacks from any source - including enemy players! It also reduces all damage taken by 5% during this period.

Other than tanking, some other buffs and debuffs to raid which Blood Death Knight brings are:

  1. Death grip

  2. Hysteria

  3. Abominations Might

  4. Horn of Winter

  5. Improved Icy Talons

  6. Raise Ally

  7. Mark of Blood
