World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Mining Guide

With the release of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, it's time to return to real life. You've been in Azeroth for months, ready to go home and spend quality time with your friends. But before that is done, you should first do mining.

Mining is an incredibly easy profession; you only need a pickaxe and some gold dust (or ore). All items found while mining will yield either gold dust or ore depending on their type: gold dust is used for transmuting items into other kinds of items or selling them at an auction house; ore is used for creating weapons and armor from scratch. However, if you want more than just basic gear from this profession, you'll need professional help.

If you are beginning your journey in the mining profession, first of all, you should consider collecting some cheap items in the Auction House before you begin mining anything yourself! That way, you can save up for better tools as soon as possible.

Mining Training

Old World

You can be taught from Apprentice to Artisan by a major trainer in any capital; thus, there is no need to go to any particular capital for this. Nodes appear during appropriate times as you start to level mining alongside your character.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Mining

Outland

Masters of Mining trainers are usually located in the first questing area, which is revealed once you cross through the Dark Portal to Outland. The Hordes are greeted by Krugosh, while Hunrak Grimmord greets the Alliance.

Neutral trainers such as Fono of the Aldor and Hanlir of the Scryers are also accessible if one has permission from Shattrath.

Northrend

When you land from the zeppelin in your faction's area, you will see the Grand Masters of Mining Trainers and various other Grand Masters of other professions. The Horde is supposed to meet with Brunna Ironaxe, whereas the Alliance should meet with Fendrig Redbeard. The neutral trainer Jeddiah Handers can be found if you have permission to Dalaran.

Leveling Mining

  1. Leveling mining in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King is quite easy and direct. You'll want to mine ore and collect minerals, which are then used to upgrade gear and gain access to new areas.

  2. To start, you'll want to choose your character's class. Each class has skills and abilities that can be used to mine different types of ores and extract different minerals, so you should pick one that suits your playstyle best. The simplest way to do this is by choosing one of the Rogue or Warrior classes.

  3. After selecting your class, you'll need to select a race for your character (or change it later). Your race will determine which ore veins are available in the game world and what kind of mineral deposits exist within those veins. Hence why it's important for players who aren't familiar with each race's strengths (or weaknesses) to spend some time leveling up their characters before choosing a race.

  4. Once you've chosen your race and class, it's time to start mining! Head into any zone where ores are present and start digging around!

Old World

The old world is a dangerous place, but it's also full of gold.

In World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, players can mine for gold in the old world. Gold is necessary to buy new gear and weapons for your character, but it's also useful for keeping your inventory stocked with food, potions, and other basic supplies.

If you're looking for ways to make money in WoW, mining for gold isn't too bad - but it takes time and effort. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to make money while you work through the Lich King dungeons—as long as you're willing to work hard!

  1. 1-65: Copper Ore (Mining level 1 is required)

  2. 65-125: Silver Ore (Mining level 75 required) and Tin Ore (Mining level 65 required)

  3. 125-175: Gold ore (Mining level 155 is required) and Iron Ore (Mining level 125 is required)

  4. 175-275: Dark iron ore (Mining level 230 is required), Mithril ore (Mining level 175 is required), and Truesilver ore (Mining level 105 is required)

Outland

If you're looking for a way to earn extra gold in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, look no further than the Outland mines. In the game's Outland expansion, players can mine for minerals used in crafting spells and items. The best place to go for this is the region known as Stratholme.

Stratholme is home to many ore veins that can be found throughout the region, but they're not all easy to find. So you'll have to search through them carefully if you want to find them all.

The most important thing about mining in Stratholme is patience; even though it's possible to get rich here by finding rare ores, it takes time and effort. So don't expect instant success!

  1. 275-350: Adamanite Ore and Fel Iron Ore (Mining level 275 is required)

  2. 325: Adamantite Deposit/Adamantite Ore

  3. 350: Rich Adamantite Deposits

Northrend

  1. In the Northrend, you'll find the miners of the Lich King. They are the most dangerous of all the professional groups in World of Warcraft, as they have access to powerful and unique skills that allow them to mine resources more quickly and efficiently than any other profession.

  2. You can't just go up to a miner and start working your way through the ranks—you have to prove yourself by completing quests for them.

  3. Once you've got enough experience, you can start working with them in their settlements. While they aren't exactly friendly, they'll at least let you work on their behalf if you're willing to do some work for them first!

  4. The best way to get started is by talking to one of their leaders in their base camp or outpost. If you're willing to help when it comes time for them to pay you back for your efforts, these guys will be more than happy to take on recruits for their cause!

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Titanium Ore

Titanium and Titansteel

In World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, there is a new type of ore called Titansteel and Titanium. These ores are used in the creation of new and powerful items.

As you mine for titanium and titan steel, you'll need to ensure that you're getting the best possible result. So here are some of the most important things to know about mining titanium and titan steel in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.

  1. Titan steel is extremely expensive to buy, but it's worth it. You can use titanium ingots to craft titansteel weapons, armor, and accessories.

  2. You can only get titanium ore from areas with an abundance of this material, so if you want to collect a lot of it for crafting purposes, you must travel far away from your base camp.

  3. Titanium ore also has a chance of dropping when you mine iron ore, so if you already have some iron ore in your inventory, this will increase your chances of finding titanium ore!
