WoW Classic Season of Discovery Best DPS for Gnomeregon Raid in Phase 2

World of Warcraft Classic: Season of Discovery Phase 2 has already been set for launch on 8th February 2023. With this blast of new additions like new runes, new events, and level cap 40, we are also getting a new part to experience, which is the Gnomeregan Raid. This has been confirmed to be a 10-player raid. Recently, the producer of the game tweeted that even after the launch of Phase 2 there is a high possibility of delaying the Gnomeregan raid. Is this something to be worried about?

Well, great things come with the passage of time, experience, and DPS. Gather your 10-man army to choose the best DPS for the Gnomeregan raid in Phase 2 before the raid is here. Also make sure you have enough stock of the Gold, the in-game currency of WoW Classic SoD, so you can use it as and when required to make faster progress. If you are falling short of the same, the best way to get them is for real money from reputed and trusted seller MMOPixel.

S Tier

Marksmanship Hunter

Marksmanship Hunter is the first and foremost choice for anybody who wants more damage. They not only cause an insane amount of damage to the opponents but also, they will have mandatory utility for each and every raid. Trueshot Aura will be mandatory for your melee stack and talents like ranged weapons and mortal shot. As Gnomeregan dungeons are known for their mechanic traps and weapons which are immune to bleeding damage and poisoning, it is important to have a powerful team and good agility. So, Marksman will always be the first choice.

Fury Warrior

Fury Warrior is coming online next phase. There are possibilities that you think that the Fury Warriors are not that good because their warrior gap is bad. But hear me out. In this phase, everything is going to be changed and the problems with rage will be fixed too. There’s even more. Endless Rage gets your spec 25% more rage for the damage incurred. This is getting better with additional points at Level 40. With talents like Death Wish, Flurry, Improved Berserker Rage, and Bloodthirst, Fury Warrior is going to the top spec.

A Tier

Beastmaster Hunter

There are so many reasons that Beastmaster Hunter has entered A-tier instead of S. With any questions, these hunters can cause crazy damage when compared to any other spec. These hunters have gotten Ferocity, Bestial Discipline that can increase the focus regeneration of your pets by 20%, Frenzy and powerful Bestial Wrath. Indeed, the Beastmaster Hunter can cause more damage than the Marksman at times but is placed after Marksman due to the lack of utility that is mandatory during a raid.

Feral Druid

Players sometimes think Feral Druid is not a big deal. The speciality of this spec is the huge buff they bring in which is the Wind Fury. It also brings value to the raid with this buff for Melee. Though it doesn’t have much damage to contribute, it will be cool to bring them in for the Melee Group. Yet, a bad thing about this spec is the damage; surely it is going to be hard. Damages of the spec highly rely upon bleeding effects from the combos of talents like Shred, Mangle, and Rip. These are going to be a major drawback for this spec. It is still placed in A-tier for their other talents like Savage Fury, Heart of the Wild, and Faerie Fire. You think about it for their Mandatory Wild Strike Buff.

B Tier

Fire Mage

Fire Mage does insane damage with talents like Burnout, Living Flame and Synergy. It brings in Scorch Spam Utility and they also get a Scorch of Level 40. But most of their spells and talents are only Level 36 which will make the flow of the raid more difficult. For a raid, they rely only on their raw spell power forcing the players to compromise with the damage incurred. For this reason, despite the power held, Fire Mage is being placed in the B-tier.

Arcane Mage

Arcane Mage gets insane spells from their tree-like Arcane power, Presence of Mind, Arcane Meditation, and Arcane Mind. Their main damage ability is on a rune. They get automatic scaling on that ability which is Arcane Blast. They also get the option to regenerate runes for healing. Big damage, utility, flexibility, and what not? They have everything enough to be in the A-tier but still got placed in the B-tier because of their Mana problems.

C Tier

Shadow Priest

Though they were quite bad in the phase 1, they are getting wide range of talents like Shadow Weaving which will increase Shadow Vulnerability on Bosses by 15%. They also get Vampire Embrace which is a great healing ability. This spec’s biggest plus in the upcoming phase is their Shadow Form talents. It gives 15% increase in Shadow Damage. Though they are very powerful and have good utility capacity, they are placed in the C-tier because they fail in the most crucial part. Their main Damage Spells have very bad Spell Rankings. They are critical for casters and as the Gnomeregan Raid is going to be a 10-man one, this is not recommended.

Boomkin

Boomkin holds good utility and is a decent choice for all the casters. They have a great buff, Star Surge and the spec gets benefits from Wrath, Star Fire, and Moonglow Vengeance. Though it is a good one, there are so many better specs to choose from, especially for a PvE Gnomeregan Raid. It’s just not worth it when there are so many better factions and the Boomkin is just alright.

D Tier

Survival Hunters

These hunters don’t do damage. But their defending skills are way too better than their attacking ones. It will be better if this spec can be evolved into a Tanking Class in Phase 2. The main reason for this spec to be here is the damage. Without proper damage, there is no raid. So, until they get a good upgrade in their damage, I would say it is a ‘No.’

Frost Mage

Frost Mage takes the lowest rank or even should be out of this DPS list. It may dominate in PvP, no question but it is not built for PvE raids. They don’t bring utility, they don’t do any damage and for this reason, it is better to stay away from this spec for the Gnomeregan raid.

Conclusion

So, concluding this article, we have sorted the DPS list, taking into account their damage, flexibility and utility. In the end of the day, it’s the choice and the strategy that is going to take you through this raid. We wish you all the best for the new Gnomeregan Raid in Phase 2.
