As WoW Classic Season of Discovery (SoD) approaches its Phase 3 release, rumours and leaks are rife among the WoW community. With the release of Season of Discovery's second half, we may already speculate about what lies ahead for the Blizzard Classic project. With many theories ahead, we estimate that phase 3 might be released in the spring of 2024. Phase 2 entered the community with pleasant changes and new content that made it a success, it will be interesting to see what’s in the store for phase 3.

In this following guide, we will let you know about the possible Phase 3 release date, newly added interesting content and how to prepare yourself for it and much more.

WoW Classic SoD Phase 3 Release date

Phase 3 of SoD will begin in the spring of 2024, according to Blizzard Entertainment. An official release date has not yet been disclosed. But official confirmation has been received that a SoD phase will last for a minimum of one month and a maximum of three to four months. So based on that assumption, it might start in the middle of April or as late as May or June. We will let you know as soon as the Devs release the exact release date.

New features

As the track record shows, all the phases of SoD have come with pleasant surprises including new content, including WoW SoD Runes, raids new missions which give you substantial amounts of rewards and experience points. WoW, SoD Phase 3 has increased the level cap to 50 and included updates on New Raid that will require 20 players to complete it.

The level cap for the profession will probably be raised to 300 (Artisan). Official confirmation of this is still pending. To advance the profession to Artisan, nevertheless, level 41 is necessary, as per the note in the gathering professions trainer menu.

Added Content

The Sunken Temple

Rumour has it that WoW SoD Phase 3 raid level-up could be The Temple of Atal'Hakkar, also called the Sunken Temple. With tons of boss encounters, the Sunken Temple is already a massive instance. It involves special level 50 tasks for each class that may be included in the revamped raid structure. There is conjecture that these class quests could provide epic improvements, enhancing the excitement of raiding even more. Another compelling hint is that Sunken Temple's lock ID has been changed to 23 adding to the speculations that it might be the location of the new Raid. As with previous raids, the Sunken Temple raid version might also have an epic crafting questline and an item for a world boost. It's possible that the current treasure may be improved for the raid, giving players access to stronger equipment.

PvP content

About PvP, there is a lot of speculation about the new content that will be available after the release of Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin. Alterac Valley is an option, but if changes aren't made, its minimum level requirement of 51 might force it into later phases. The PvP event zone will probably move to a 40-50 level zone; for which the contenders are Tanaris, Feralas, and The Hinterlands.

Dungeons

In Phase 3, the Scarlet Monastery - famous for its noteworthy characters and substantial loot like the Ravager axe and Herod's shoulder - is expected an important part too.

WoW Classic SoD Phase 3 Preparation

As the new Phase releases, you need to be ready to tackle it head-on to garner more rewards and complete Quests, Raids etc.

  • Firstly, level up the Classes that you’re going to be using in Phase 3.

  • Secondly, stock up on the best possible Raid Gear to breeze through WoW SoD Phase 3 Raid, which will be the Sunan Temple probably.

  • If you have ample time, level up your professions, and make money with Waylaid Supplies to raise your primary professions to at least 225.

  • Put your gold to use by buying goods. Phase 3 will bring inflation and depreciate the current worth of your gold holdings. You can secure your riches by investing your gold in commodities that will be used, such as careers in Phase 3. If you are falling short of the gold, the best way to get it is for real money from reputed and trusted seller MMOPixel.

  • The majority of classes aim to enhance their standing within their Arathi Basin group. To increase your reputation during this phase, take part in Arathi Basin and/or the PvP event in Stranglethorn Vale.

  • Obtain the Warsong Reputation and increase it by completing the Ashenvale weekly mission.

  • Get at least a rank 3 in a PvP event because it opens up a cloak and a 10% vendor discount, which is excellent for the majority of classes. You will always keep this rating even if you decide to stop playing PvP because there’s no decay now.

  • Obtain First Aid Level 225. It could be a good idea to think about including a cooking level of 225 for at least one character.

  • In the upcoming phase, you may want to acquire and level the weapon skills you'll require. For classes like Warriors, it is important to have the weapon skill mastered and not start at zero.

  • In the following stage, you may wish to obtain the necessary flight points. Obtaining flying points at this time is advantageous, particularly if you intend to level up through dungeons.

Possible WoW SoD Runes in Phase 3

Following is the list of probable WoW SoD Runes in Phase 3.

Gale Winds - applied in the Druid class, in the helm slot. It Increases damage while decreasing hurricane costs and cooldown.

Purifying Power - Holy Wrath can target any opponent, and the cooldowns for exorcism and Holy Wrath both shorten. It’s for the Paladin class applied in the wrist slot.

Molten armour - used by Mage in wrist slots, it lowers the chance of an incoming crit, damages enemies, and raises the chance of a spell crit.

Improved hammer of Wrath - this one is also used by Paladin in the wrist slot. When Hammer of Wrath is used on foes with low health, the cooldown is reset.
